The Keychron Q1 Ultra is a compact 75% mechanical keyboard with a standard profile and gasket mount construction, designed for both gaming and general use. It supports wireless and wired connectivity, connecting via Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4GHz wireless, or USB, and delivers a polling rate of 8000 Hz. The keyboard is compatible with Mac and includes a detachable cable. On a full charge, the battery is rated for up to 660 hours of use. Physically, it measures 327.6 mm wide, 145 mm deep, and 31.8 mm thick, with a total weight of 1724 g. It carries a one-year warranty.
The Q1 Ultra features a case constructed from aluminum and plastic, paired with an aluminum plate, and is available in black and white colorways. It includes RGB backlighting with a south-facing LED direction, and adjustable feet allow for some flexibility in typing angle. A wrist rest is not included in the box.
The Q1 Ultra comes equipped with Silk POM Red switches, a linear mechanical switch with an actuation point of 2 mm, a total travel distance of 4 mm, and an actuation force of 45 g. The switches are hot-swappable, meaning they can be replaced without soldering.
The Q1 Ultra supports N-key rollover (NKRO) and runs on ZMK firmware, but does not offer QMK or VIA support. Features such as analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, adjustable actuation, USB passthrough, and an onboard display are not present on this keyboard.
The Q1 Ultra uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement and double-shot PBT keycaps. Media controls are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and the board includes a rotary dial for additional input control.
