The Kreo Hive 65 is a compact 65% mechanical keyboard with a standard profile, intended for gaming use and wired connectivity over USB with a detachable cable. It operates at a 1000 Hz polling rate and uses a gasket mount construction, contributing to its overall dimensions of 310 × 120 × 40 mm and a weight of 500 g. The keyboard is compatible with Mac key configurations and comes backed by a one-year warranty.
The Kreo Hive 65 features a plastic case with a polycarbonate plate and is available in both white and black colorways. It includes per-key RGB backlighting and adjustable feet for typing angle customization. No wrist rest is included in the package.
The Kreo Hive 65 comes equipped with the Kreo Purple Linear Switch, a mechanical switch with a smooth, linear feel and an actuation point of 2 mm, requiring 50 g of actuation force and offering a total travel distance of 4 mm. The switches are hot-swappable, meaning they can be replaced without soldering directly on the board.
The Kreo Hive 65 supports N-key rollover (NKRO), allowing all keypresses to be registered simultaneously without conflict. It does not include analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, or adjustable actuation functionality, and there is no USB passthrough port or onboard display. On the software side, the keyboard lacks support for QMK, ZMK, and VIA.
The Kreo Hive 65 uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement and double-shot PBT keycaps in a Cherry profile, offering durability and a familiar typing feel. Media functions are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and the keyboard also includes a rotary dial for additional input control.
