The Kreo Swarm 65 is a mechanical gaming keyboard built around a compact 65% layout with a standard profile and gasket mount construction. It supports three connection modes — USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5 — and includes a detachable cable for added convenience. The keyboard operates at a 1000 Hz polling rate and is rated for up to 270 hours of battery life, making it well-suited for extended wireless use. It is designed with Mac compatibility in mind and measures 250 × 140 × 30 mm at a weight of 850 g. The keyboard carries a one-year warranty.
The Swarm 65 features a plastic case finished in black, with a backlit layout driven by RGB lighting set in a north-facing direction. Adjustable feet are included to let users set a preferred typing angle, though no wrist rest is bundled with the keyboard.
The Swarm 65 uses Kreo Starling Linear switches, a mechanical switch with a smooth, linear feel and no tactile bump. They actuate at 1.3 mm with a light actuation force of 43 g and offer a total travel distance of 3.5 mm. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering.
The Swarm 65 supports N-key rollover (NKRO), ensuring every simultaneous keypress is registered accurately. Beyond that, the feature set is fairly limited — the keyboard does not include analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, or adjustable actuation. There is no USB passthrough, no built-in display, and no support for QMK, ZMK, or VIA firmware customization.
The Swarm 65 follows an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement, using double-shot PBT keycaps in the Cherry profile for a familiar and durable typing surface. Media controls are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and a rotary dial is included as an additional input option.
