The Lava Yuva 2 5G has a straightforward, conventional form factor — it neither folds nor carries a rugged build rating. It stands 165mm tall and 75.8mm wide, with a thickness of 8.7mm and a total volume of approximately 108.81 cm³. At 190g, the handset sits at a moderate weight for its size. There is no water resistance of any kind, so the device offers no rated protection against moisture or dust exposure.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 265 ppi. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate, which enables noticeably smoother on-screen motion during everyday use. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, meaning color and contrast capabilities are limited to standard output. There is no Always-On Display mode, and the device has a single screen with no secondary panel.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G is powered by the Unisoc Tanggula T760, a 7nm octa-core chipset using big.LITTLE architecture with four cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four at 1.8 GHz, totalling 8 threads. It is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz across two memory channels, with the platform supporting a maximum of 32GB. Internal storage stands at 128GB. Graphics are handled by an integrated Mali-G57 GPU with a turbo clock of 650 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset supports 64-bit processing, includes integrated LTE, and features ARM TrustZone for hardware-level security. Geekbench 5 results show a single-core score of 541 and a multi-core score of 2155. ECC memory is not supported.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G sports a dual-lens rear camera system led by a 50MP primary sensor alongside a 2MP secondary lens, using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera records video at 1080p and 30fps and supports slow-motion recording, but does not offer optical zoom, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, or 3D capture. A single LED flash is present, with no dual-tone or RGB flash options. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, panorama, and timelapse are also supported — manual shutter speed and RAW capture are not available. The front-facing 8MP single-lens camera has no dedicated flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G runs Android 14 and covers a broad range of privacy and usability features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not included. The OS supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, and sharing intents. Productivity-oriented additions include live text selection from images, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device tracking, multi-user support, an extra dim mode, battery health check, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. On-device machine learning is present as well. Features not available include Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not supported, and the platform is noted as free and open source.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G houses a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for at-a-glance monitoring. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, along with a built-in radio. For wireless audio, none of the high-quality codec standards are supported — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G supports 5G connectivity and comes with a dual-SIM configuration, a cellular module, and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n). Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS are both on board, and the device includes a USB Type-C port along with an external memory card slot. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication, and an accelerometer is present among the sensors. NFC is not supported, nor is DLNA certification. The device lacks a gyroscope, compass, barometer, or infrared sensor, and there is no heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, or Galileo satellite navigation. Motion tracking, optical tracking, 3D facial recognition, and iris scanning are all absent. Additional features such as HDMI output, a built-in projector, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, and a stylus are not included.

The Lava Yuva 2 5G includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
