The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook (2025) 14″ is classified as a Chromebook and carries a weight of 1300g, with physical dimensions of 325mm wide, 221mm deep, and 18mm thick, resulting in a total volume of 1292.85cm³. It does not use a fanless design, and the keyboard lacks backlighting. The device comes with a 2-year warranty but does not feature a weather-sealed or rugged build, making it a standard-use portable machine without added environmental protection.
The display measures 14″ and delivers a 1920 x 1080 resolution at a pixel density of 157 ppi, providing a full HD image across the panel. The screen operates at a 60Hz refresh rate and does not support touch input, nor does it include an anti-reflection coating.
The processor runs at a combined CPU speed of 2 x 2 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz across 8 threads, with multithreading support and a 7nm semiconductor process, while also supporting 64-bit operations. The system is backed by 8GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3600 MHz, which also represents the maximum supported memory capacity. Storage comes in at 128GB using flash memory, though it is not an NVMe SSD. On the graphics side, the GPU runs at a base clock of 800 MHz with a turbo speed of 950 MHz, and supports DirectX 12, though it does not feature XeSS acceleration.
In Geekbench 5 testing, the device recorded a multi-core score of 1450 and a single-core score of 514, reflecting the processing capability of its CPU under both parallel and single-threaded workloads.
The device includes one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, with no USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 4, Thunderbolt 3 or 4, or USB 2.0 ports present. Wired display output is not available, as there are no HDMI, DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort, or VGA connectors. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) alongside Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4, and Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported. The laptop includes an external memory slot for expandable storage, supports AirPlay, but does not have an RJ45 ethernet port.
The laptop is equipped with a 47 Wh battery to handle day-to-day use. It does not include sleep-and-charge USB ports, nor does it feature a MagSafe power adapter.
On the audio and multimedia side, the device includes stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headset jack, and two built-in microphones, along with a front-facing camera for video calls. It does not support Dolby Atmos, ray tracing, or DLSS, and there is no S/PDIF output or optical disc drive. Security features are limited, as neither a fingerprint scanner nor 3D facial recognition is present, and voice commands are not supported. Sensor coverage is also minimal, with no gyroscope, accelerometer, GPS, or compass included, and no stylus is bundled with the device.
The integrated GPU is a Mali G52 MC2 2EE, featuring 48 shading units and running as integrated graphics without dedicated memory. The processor makes use of big.LITTLE technology alongside Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP), allowing different core types to operate concurrently for more flexible workload handling. The CPU processes 128 bits at a time via NEON and supports VFP version 4, with an L1 cache of 64 KB. Security is reinforced through both ARM TrustZone and NX bit support, while 5G connectivity is not available on this device.
