The Lenovo LOQ 15ARP9 is a gaming laptop with a chassis measuring 359 × 258 mm and a thickness of just 21 mm, giving it a relatively slim profile for its category. It weighs 2,380 grams and has a total volume of 1,945.06 cm³. The design relies on an active cooling system rather than a fanless setup, and it is not weather-sealed. On the usability front, it includes a backlit keyboard and comes with a one-year warranty.
The laptop features a 15.6″ IPS LCD panel with LED backlighting, delivering a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels at a pixel density of 141 ppi. Its 144Hz refresh rate makes it well-suited for fast-paced content, while typical brightness sits at 300 nits. The display also benefits from an anti-reflection coating, which helps reduce glare in varied lighting conditions. Touch input is not supported.
The system is powered by a quad-core CPU running at a base clock of 4 × 3.2 GHz with a turbo speed of 4.2 GHz, supporting 8 threads and multithreading, and built on an 8 nm process node. It comes with 24GB of DDR5 RAM at 4,800 MHz across two memory slots, expandable up to 32GB. Storage is handled by a 512GB NVMe SSD using PCIe 4.0 flash storage. On the graphics side, the GPU runs at a base clock of 1,065 MHz with a boost of 1,343 MHz, backed by 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and delivers 4.813 TFLOPS of floating-point performance alongside a texture rate of 75.21 GTexels/s and a pixel rate of 42.98 GPixel/s. The GPU supports DirectX 12 Ultimate but does not include XeSS. The platform is fully 64-bit compatible.
In PassMark testing, the system achieves a multi-core score of 12,257 alongside a single-core score of 2,875, reflecting the CPU's overall throughput capacity as well as its per-core processing speed.
The laptop's port selection includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, while Thunderbolt 3 and 4, USB 4, and additional USB-C Gen 1 ports are absent. Video output is handled by a single HDMI 2.1 port; there are no DisplayPort or mini DisplayPort outputs, and no VGA connector. Wired networking is covered by one RJ45 Ethernet jack, and wireless connectivity spans Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) along with backward-compatible Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4, complemented by Bluetooth 5.2. AirPlay is supported, but there is no external memory card slot.
The laptop is equipped with a 60 Wh battery and supports sleep-and-charge functionality through its USB ports, allowing connected devices to be charged even when the laptop is in sleep mode. A MagSafe power adapter is not included.
On the audio side, the laptop includes stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headset jack, and two microphones, though Dolby Atmos and S/PDIF output are not present. A front camera is built in, while biometric options such as a fingerprint scanner and 3D facial recognition are absent, and voice commands are not supported. Graphics features include ray tracing and DLSS support. The machine does not carry motion or location sensors — there is no gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, or GPS — and it ships without a stylus or an optical disc drive.
The GPU is built on Nvidia's Ampere architecture, housing 1,792 shading units, 56 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs, with a memory bus width of 128 bits, a GPU memory speed of 1,500 MHz, an effective memory speed of 12,000 MHz, and a maximum memory bandwidth of 192 GB/s. It supports Double Precision Floating Point, stereoscopic 3D, and multi-display output, while LHR is not present. The CPU carries a 45W TDP, a clock multiplier of 32, and a maximum operating temperature of 95 °C; it does not use big.LITTLE technology and has a locked multiplier. Cache configuration consists of 384 KB L1, 2 MB L2 (1 MB/core), and 8 MB L3 (2 MB/core), and the processor supports a broad set of instruction sets including AVX2, AES, FMA3, F16C, SSE 4.1, SSE 4.2, and MMX, along with the NX bit for hardware-level security. The platform supports ECC memory across two memory channels at up to 4,800 MHz, uses Intel Resizable BAR, and is rated for OpenCL 3 and OpenGL 4.6. Integrated graphics are not included, and the GPU contains approximately 12,000 million transistors.
