The Mivi DuoPods i5 adopt a true wireless, in-ear design with no cables or neckband connecting the two earbuds. They carry an IPX4 ingress protection rating, meaning they are resistant to sweat, which makes them reasonably suited for active use. Wingtips are not included. Each earbud houses a stereo speaker, delivering sound to both ears independently.
The Mivi DuoPods i5 use a 13 mm driver unit and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. They rely on passive noise reduction to limit ambient sound, as active noise cancellation is not supported. The drivers do not use a neodymium magnet.
The Mivi DuoPods i5 offer 8.5 hours of battery life per charge, with the included charging case extending total playback to 41.5 hours. The case charges via cable and takes around 1.5 hours to reach a full charge; wireless charging is not supported. Both the earbuds and case feature rechargeable batteries, and a battery level indicator is available to help keep track of remaining charge.
The Mivi DuoPods i5 connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3, with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 50 ms. The supported audio codec is AAC; advanced codecs including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, aptX Voice, LDAC, and LDHC are not supported. Fast pairing and NFC-based pairing are also absent, and the charging case uses USB Type-C for wired charging.
The Mivi DuoPods i5 support multipoint connectivity for up to two devices simultaneously and can function as a headset, with a mute function and a control panel on the device itself for managing calls and playback; an in-line control panel is not included. Fast charging is supported, and voice prompts are available to guide the user through pairing and other actions. A travel bag is included in the box, and the earbuds come with a one-year warranty. Ambient sound mode, in-ear detection, a find-device feature, and a body temperature sensor are not part of the feature set.
The Mivi DuoPods i5 include a noise-canceling microphone, which works to reduce background noise during calls.
