The Moondrop Robin follows a true wireless, in-ear design with no cables, neckband, or wingtips, keeping the build minimal and self-contained. The earbuds deliver stereo sound but do not include a display, RGB lighting, or UV light. Water resistance is absent, so the Robin is not rated for exposure to moisture.
The Moondrop Robin uses a 10 mm driver backed by a neodymium magnet and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. It supports both active noise cancellation and passive noise isolation, giving it two layers of sound blocking. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not available on this model.
The Moondrop Robin carries a 40 mAh rechargeable battery rated for 9 hours of playback, while the 470 mAh charging case extends the total to 30 hours. A full charge takes 2 hours, and the earbuds support both wired and wireless charging. A battery level indicator is built in, and solar charging is not available on this model.
The Moondrop Robin connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m, and supports LDAC, Bluetooth LE Audio, and AAC as its audio codecs. The aptX family of codecs — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — is not supported, nor are Auracast, NFC pairing, or fast pairing. For wired charging and data, the case uses USB Type-C.
The Moondrop Robin includes ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for automatic music pausing, a mute function, voice prompts, and multipoint connectivity for up to 2 devices simultaneously. Controls are handled through a panel on the earbuds themselves, and the Robin can also function as a headset for calls. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. The earbuds do not offer a find-device feature, notification readout, in-line controls, a body temperature sensor, or a camera remote shutter function.
The Moondrop Robin is equipped with a quad-microphone setup that includes noise cancellation, allowing it to filter out background sound during calls and voice input.
