The Moondrop UltraSonic adopts a true wireless, in-ear fit with no cables or neckband connecting the two earbuds. Each earbud houses a stereo speaker, while wingtips are not included in the package. The design omits RGB lighting, a UV light, and any built-in display, keeping the overall form straightforward and focused on core listening functionality.
The Moondrop UltraSonic uses a 13 mm driver unit and covers the full standard audible spectrum from 20 Hz to 20000 Hz, with a sound pressure level of 106 dB/mW. Both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction are supported, giving the earbuds two layers of ambient sound management. The drivers do not use a neodymium magnet, and the earbuds offer no support for spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo processing.
The Moondrop UltraSonic earbuds carry a 37 mAh rechargeable battery that provides up to 6 hours of playback per charge, while the 380 mAh charging case extends total available listening time to 18 hours. A full charge takes 1 hour, and a battery level indicator is included to help track remaining power. The earbuds do not support wireless charging and have no solar power capability.
The Moondrop UltraSonic connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 m and an audio latency of 55 ms. Supported audio codecs include LDAC and AAC, while aptX in all its variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — is not supported, nor is LDHC or Bluetooth LE Audio. The earbuds use USB Type-C for wired charging but do not offer fast pairing, NFC pairing, or Auracast functionality.
The Moondrop UltraSonic includes ambient sound mode, a mute function, voice prompts, and can be used as a headset, with controls accessible through a control panel placed on the device itself rather than an in-line panel on a cable. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. The earbuds do not offer in/on-ear detection, a find device feature, notification readout, a temperature sensor, or a built-in camera remote control function.
The Moondrop UltraSonic is equipped with a noise-canceling microphone, which helps reduce background noise during calls and voice input.
