Motorola Moto E15

The Motorola Moto E15 has a non-folding, standard-form design measuring 165.7 mm tall, 76 mm wide, and 8.2 mm thick, with a weight of 188.8 g and a total volume of 103.26 cm³. It carries an IP54 rating, meaning it offers protection against dust contact and water splashes from any direction, though it does not feature a fully rugged build.

The Moto E15 features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1604 px and a pixel density of 264 ppi, paired with a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and does not include an Always-On Display mode, nor does it support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Moto E15 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra, a 12 nm octa-core chipset with two cores clocked at 2 GHz and six efficiency cores at 1.8 GHz, supported by a turbo frequency of 2 GHz and a thermal design power of 5W. It uses big.LITTLE technology across 8 threads, integrates LTE directly on the SoC, and includes TrustZone for hardware-level security. Graphics are handled by the Mali G52 MP2 with 2 execution units, 32 shading units, a turbo clock of 950 MHz, and support for DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The device comes with 2 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1800 MHz across 2 memory channels, a maximum memory bandwidth of 13.41 GB/s, and a maximum supported memory amount of 8 GB, while 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage is provided alongside an L2 cache of 0.3 MB and an L3 cache of 1 MB. The Moto E15 features a single-lens 32 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a CMOS sensor, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video, and a range of manual controls including exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. It records video at 1080p and 30 fps with slow-motion support, but does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, and offers no optical zoom or optical image stabilization. The rear camera includes two LED flash units, though neither a dual-tone nor RGB configuration is present. Additional shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse, while 360-degree panorama, RAW capture, and 3D recording are not supported. On the front, an 8 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.1 aperture handles selfies, without a front-facing flash or under-display placement.

The Moto E15 runs Android 14, a free and open-source platform that supports multi-user profiles, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device tracking. On the privacy side, it includes clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications, and sharing intents, while focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, and app offloading are absent. Practical usability features include split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, a child lock, battery health check, and the ability to play games while they are downloading. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not supported, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Moto E15 is equipped with a 5200 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 18W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for convenient monitoring, though wireless charging is not supported.

The Moto E15 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a built-in radio, but is limited to a single speaker with no stereo output. On the wireless audio side, it does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC.

The Moto E15 supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), alongside Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and Galileo for satellite positioning, while 5G, NFC, and DLNA are not available. Cellular connectivity is built in, with download speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s. The device uses a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0 and includes an external memory slot for storage expansion. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. On the sensor front, an accelerometer is present, but the device lacks a gyroscope, compass, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking. Additional features such as HDMI output, ANT+ support, satellite SOS, crash detection, a built-in projector, and a stylus are not included.

The Moto E15 includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device does not feature sapphire glass protection or an e-paper display.
