Its total volume is 97.8 cm³. The device carries a water resistance rating, providing a basic level of protection against splashes and incidental moisture during everyday use. It does not feature a rugged build, so it is not designed to withstand more demanding physical conditions beyond general daily handling.

The Motorola Moto G24 features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, yielding a pixel density of 269 ppi and a typical brightness of 570 nits. It runs at a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and navigation, and supports Always-On Display, allowing at-a-glance information without fully waking the screen. Branded damage-resistant glass is not present, and the display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision. There is no secondary panel, keeping the design straightforward as a single-screen device.

The Motorola Moto G24 is driven by the MediaTek Helio G85, a 12 nm octa-core SoC configured with two cores at 2.0 GHz and six at 1.8 GHz in a big.LITTLE arrangement, with a TDP of 5W. It is paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM running at 1800 MHz across two memory channels, and 256 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 8 GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 13.41 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the Mali G52 MC2 GPU running at 1000 MHz with a matching turbo frequency, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0. The platform is fully 64-bit capable, includes integrated LTE, and features ARM TrustZone for hardware-level security. In benchmarks, the device scores 225,154 on AnTuTu, 424 single-core and 1,322 multi-core on Geekbench 6, 9,176 on PCMark Work 3.0, and 80 on 3DMark Steel Nomad, while the PCMark battery benchmark recorded 718 minutes of endurance under sustained workload conditions.

The Motorola Moto G24 has a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50 MP main sensor at f/1.8 paired with a 2 MP secondary lens at f/2.4, using a CMOS sensor without BSI or optical image stabilization. Autofocus options include phase-detection for stills, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera records video at 1080p and 30 fps and supports a range of shooting modes including HDR, slow-motion, burst, in-camera panorama, and timelapse. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while manual shutter speed and RAW capture are not available. A single LED flash is fitted on the rear with no dual-tone or RGB option. The 8 MP front camera has an f/2.0 aperture and is positioned conventionally above the display — it is a single-lens unit with no under-screen placement and no front-facing flash.

The Motorola Moto G24 runs Android 14 and includes a well-rounded set of privacy and software features. Privacy controls cover clipboard warnings, location management, and camera and microphone access options, along with the ability to block app tracking — though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not included. The interface supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and app offloading are absent. On the usability side, the device supports split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. On-device machine learning is present alongside offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device position tracking. A battery health check tool is available for monitoring battery condition over time, and the OS supports widgets, a child lock, Live Text, multiple user accounts, and a multi-user system. Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, app offloading, and the ability to use the device as a PC are not supported, and direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided.

The Motorola Moto G24 is powered by a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery with support for 15W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is available for at-a-glance charge monitoring. The battery is sealed and not user-removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Motorola Moto G24 covers audio output from multiple angles, offering both a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired listening and stereo speakers for built-in dual-channel playback. A built-in radio tuner is also present, adding an option for over-the-air broadcasts without needing a data connection.
