The Nu Republic Cyberstud X2 adopts a standard earbud fit and operates as a true wireless design, meaning there are no cables or wires connecting the two earpieces. The earbuds deliver stereo sound and come without wingtips, a neckband, RGB lighting, a UV light, or any onboard display. Water resistance is not offered on this model.
The Cyberstud X2 uses a 13 mm driver unit supported by a neodymium magnet, covering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation, passive noise reduction, spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo processing.
The Cyberstud X2 offers 7 hours of battery life per charge, with the included charging case extending the total to 63 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and a battery level indicator is on hand to keep track of remaining power. The battery is rechargeable, though wireless charging and solar power are not supported.
The Cyberstud X2 supports wireless operation with a maximum Bluetooth range of 10 m and an audio latency of 40 ms. Charging is handled via USB Type-C, though wireless charging is not available. The earbuds do not support fast pairing, NFC pairing, AAC, LDAC, LDHC, Auracast, Bluetooth LE Audio, or any variant of the aptX codec family, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice.
The Cyberstud X2 can be used as a headset and includes a control panel placed on the device itself, along with a mute function and voice prompts for straightforward day-to-day operation. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for auto-pausing, a find-device feature, notification reading, an in-line control panel, a body temperature sensor, or a camera remote shutter function.
The Cyberstud X2 is equipped with a total of 4 microphones, and the setup includes noise-canceling microphone capability to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls.
