The NuPhy Air75 HE is a low-profile, compact 75% mechanical keyboard designed for gaming, connecting to a host system via wired USB. It reaches a polling rate of 8000 Hz and uses a top-mount construction, while its physical footprint measures 316.4 × 132.5 mm with a thickness of just 18.4 mm and a weight of 702 g. The cable is detachable, which adds flexibility when transporting or storing the board, though it is not designed for use with Mac systems. A one-year warranty is included.
The Air75 HE features a backlit layout with RGB lighting directed south-facing, housed in a case made from a combination of plastic and aluminum, with an aluminum plate underneath. It is available in black or white, and the board includes adjustable feet to accommodate different typing angles. No wrist rest is included in the package.
The Air75 HE is equipped with Low-Profile Magnetic Jade Pro Hall effect switches, which deliver a linear feel with an actuation force of 40 g and a total travel distance of 3.5 mm. The actuation point is adjustable across a range of 0.1 mm to 3.3 mm, allowing for a high degree of sensitivity tuning. These switches are not hot-swappable, meaning they cannot be replaced without desoldering.
The Air75 HE supports a strong set of gaming-oriented features, including rapid trigger, dual actuation, adjustable actuation, and analog input, all of which take advantage of its Hall effect switch technology. Full N-key rollover (NKRO) is also present, ensuring every simultaneous keypress is registered accurately. On the other hand, the board does not include USB passthrough, an onboard display, or support for QMK, ZMK, or VIA, which limits options for open-source firmware customization.
The Air75 HE uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement, making it compatible with a wide range of aftermarket keycap sets. The keycaps themselves are made from PBT material and feature a DSA profile, which gives each key a uniform, low, spherical top. Media controls are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and there is no rotary dial on the board.
