The NuPhy Halo75 V2 is a standard-profile mechanical keyboard in a compact 75% layout, using a gasket mount for a softer, more dampened typing experience. It offers tri-mode connectivity via 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5, and USB, with a battery life rated at 307 hours. The keyboard polls at 1000 Hz, includes a detachable cable, and is not designed specifically for Mac. Physically, it measures 320 mm wide, 135 mm deep, and 39.2 mm thick, weighing 1020 g. The warranty period covers one year.
The Halo75 V2 features a backlit keyboard with RGB lighting and south-facing LEDs, which direct light toward the bottom of each keycap for a particular glow effect. The case is constructed from a combination of plastic and aluminum, while the plate is made entirely of aluminum. It comes in four color options — Black, White, Blue, and Pink — and includes both adjustable feet for typing angle customization and a bundled wrist rest for added comfort during use.
The Halo75 V2 ships with NuPhy Mint mechanical switches, which have a linear feel for smooth, uninterrupted keypresses. They actuate at 2 mm with a force of 42 g and offer a total travel distance of 3.6 mm. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering.
The Halo75 V2 supports QMK and VIA, giving users a well-established way to remap keys and customize behavior at the firmware level, though ZMK is not supported. It includes full NKRO for simultaneous keypress registration and features a built-in display. On the other hand, it does not offer analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, adjustable actuation, or USB passthrough.
The Halo75 V2 uses a standard ANSI (United States) layout with a conventional key arrangement, meaning aftermarket keycap sets are broadly compatible. The keycaps are PBT shine-through in an OEM profile, suited for use with the south-facing RGB backlighting. Media functions are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and there is no rotary dial on this keyboard.
