The NZXT Function Elite MiniTKL is a wired, mechanical gaming keyboard in a tenkeyless (80%) layout with a standard profile, connecting via USB with a detachable cable. It features a gasket mount for a more resilient typing feel and operates at a polling rate of 8000 Hz. The keyboard is not designed for Mac. Physically, it measures 348.4 mm wide, 132.8 mm in height, and 37.8 mm thick, weighing 1091 g in total. It is backed by a two-year warranty.
The Function Elite MiniTKL features an aluminum case and plate, giving it a sturdy build, and is available in both black and white colorways. It includes RGB backlighting with a north-facing LED orientation, which directs light toward the top of the keycaps. The keyboard has adjustable feet for typing angle flexibility but does not include a wrist rest. No wrist rest is bundled in the box.
The Function Elite MiniTKL uses NZXT Magnetic Switches, which are Hall effect switches with a linear feel and an actuation force of 30 g. The actuation point is adjustable between 0.6 mm and 4 mm, with a total travel distance of 4 mm. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering.
The Function Elite MiniTKL supports a strong set of input features, including analog input, rapid trigger, dual actuation, and adjustable actuation, giving users precise control over how and when keystrokes register. Full N-key rollover (NKRO) is also supported, ensuring every simultaneous keypress is recognized reliably. The keyboard does not include USB passthrough or an onboard display.
The Function Elite MiniTKL uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement, making it compatible with widely available keycap sets. The keycaps are PBT double-shot in an OEM profile, offering a durable construction with legends that won't fade over time. Media controls are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and there is no rotary dial on this keyboard.
