The OWS Sports use an open-ear fit and are built as neckband earbuds weighing just 26g, with wingtips included to help secure them during movement. They are not true wireless, as a cable connects the two earpieces. The earbuds carry an IPX8 ingress protection rating and are sweat resistant, making them suited for physical activity, and they feature stereo speakers for left-right audio reproduction.
The OWS Sports cover a frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz, spanning the full standard range of human hearing. They do not include active noise cancellation, passive noise isolation, or a neodymium magnet driver, which is consistent with their open-ear design that keeps ambient sound audible during use.
The OWS Sports are equipped with a rechargeable 150mAh battery that delivers up to 15 hours of playback on a full charge, with a charge time of 2 hours. A battery level indicator is included to help track remaining power, while wireless charging is not supported.
The OWS Sports connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.1 with a maximum range of 10 meters, and support both aptX and aptX HD codecs for higher-quality audio transmission. LDAC, LDHC, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, aptX Voice, and AAC are not supported, and neither fast pairing, NFC pairing, nor USB Type-C charging are included in the connectivity feature set.
The OWS Sports support fast charging and can function as a headset, with controls placed directly on the device and voice prompts to assist with navigation. A mute function is also included for convenient call management. The earbuds carry a one-year warranty, but do not come with a travel bag, and features such as ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find device function, and a body temperature sensor are absent.
The OWS Sports include a noise-canceling microphone, which works to reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice interactions.
