The OnePlus Ace 5 features a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1264 x 2780 px and a pixel density of 450 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 360Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input, and reaches a typical brightness of 800 nits. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and includes an Always-On Display mode for at-a-glance information. The panel does not use branded damage-resistant glass and there is no secondary screen.

The OnePlus Ace 5 is built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system-on-chip, fabricated on a 4 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of up to 3.3 GHz across its big.LITTLE core layout, with a TDP of 12.5W and HMP support. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 750 GPU clocked at 900 MHz, with integrated graphics, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenVG 1.2, OpenCL 2, and DirectX 12 support, driving a single display. The chipset also integrates LTE and supports TrustZone for hardware-level security. The device comes with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz across two memory channels, a maximum memory ceiling of 24 GB, and a maximum memory bandwidth of 76.6 GB/s, alongside 1024 GB of internal storage. Cache consists of 1 MB of L2 and 12 MB of L3. In benchmark testing, it scores 2,330,980 on AnTuTu, 7,325 on Geekbench 6 multi-core, and 2,213 on Geekbench 6 single-core. The platform supports 64-bit processing and multithreading throughout.

The OnePlus Ace 5 features a multi-lens rear camera system with three sensors rated at 50 MP, 8 MP, and 2 MP, paired with apertures of f/1.8, f/2.2, and f/2.4 respectively, and equipped with optical image stabilization. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor — though not a back-illuminated type — and supports phase-detection autofocus for stills as well as continuous autofocus during video recording; laser autofocus is not included. It can record video at up to 4K (2160p) at 60 fps, with slow-motion recording also available, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. The OnePlus Ace 5 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. Users can block app tracking, and the system supports on-device machine learning. On the customization side, the OS offers theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications with granular permission controls, a media picker, widgets, and split-screen multitasking. It also supports Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, Live Text selection from images, sharing intents, app offloading, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The OnePlus Ace 5 houses a 6415 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a built-in level indicator. It supports 80W wired fast charging, though wireless charging is not available.

The OnePlus Ace 5 includes stereo speakers and three microphones, but does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack or a built-in radio. For Bluetooth audio, it supports aptX and aptX HD, while aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available.

The OnePlus Ace 5 supports 5G connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download speeds of up to 10,000 Mbits/s and upload speeds of up to 3,500 Mbits/s.
