OnePlus Nord N30 SE

The OnePlus Nord N30 SE has a conventional candy-bar form factor — it does not fold and offers no rugged build certification. It measures 165.6 mm tall, 76 mm wide, and 8 mm thick, with a total volume of 100.6848 cm³ and a weight of 193 g. The device carries no water or splash resistance rating of any kind, so it offers no protection against moisture exposure.

The Nord N30 SE uses a 6.72″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 px and a pixel density of 391 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, nor does it support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, so high dynamic range content will not be rendered with expanded color or contrast. There is no Always-On Display mode and no secondary screen.

The Nord N30 SE is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, built on a 7 nm process with an octa-core CPU using big.LITTLE architecture — two cores running at 2.2 GHz and six at 2 GHz — across 8 threads with multithreading and 64-bit support. It is paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz, with the system supporting up to 16GB, and a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. Cache is arranged as 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 MP2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, and the chipset includes integrated LTE. Internal storage sits at 128GB, and the device scores 7,540 on the PCMark Work 3.0 performance benchmark.

The Nord N30 SE features a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor at f/1.8 and a 2MP secondary lens at f/2.4, both using CMOS technology without a back-illuminated sensor. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support, and there is no optical image stabilization. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, slow-motion video, timelapse, panorama, and HDR shooting are all available; however, the camera does not shoot in RAW format and manual shutter speed is not supported. A single LED flash is included on the rear with no dual-tone capability, while the 8MP front camera at f/2.0 is a single-lens unit with no front-facing flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Nord N30 SE ships with Android 13 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking; cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, customizable notifications, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. On-device machine learning is present, as are offline voice recognition and voice commands, phone tracking, a child lock, multi-user support, and an extra dim display mode. Focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, battery health check, and Quick Start are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Nord N30 SE is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 33W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Nord N30 SE includes a 3.5 mm headset jack and stereo speakers for audio output. None of the high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported, which limits wireless audio fidelity when using compatible headphones. There is no built-in radio tuner.

The Nord N30 SE supports 5G connectivity with peak download speeds of 2770 Mbits/s and upload speeds of 1250 Mbits/s, and accommodates two SIM cards simultaneously. Wireless networking covers Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, while Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC are also on board. The USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0 speeds, and there is no external memory card slot. Positioning is handled through GPS with Galileo support, and onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass. Security is covered by a fingerprint scanner, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. Features such as crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, a heart rate monitor, infrared sensor, barometer, DLNA certification, ANT+ support, HDMI output, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are not included.

The Nord N30 SE includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
