Oppo A3 4G

The Oppo A3 4G has a rectangular, non-folding design measuring 165.8 mm tall, 76.1 mm wide, and 7.7 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 97.15 cm³ and a weight of 186 g. It carries an IP54 ingress protection rating, meaning it offers a degree of water resistance against splashes and light exposure, though it does not feature a rugged build.

The Oppo A3 4G features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1604 px and a pixel density of 264 ppi. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate, contributing to smoother on-screen interactions. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Oppo A3 4G is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a 4 nm octa-core chipset configured as four cores at 2.2 GHz and four at 1.8 GHz, using big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for more efficient workload distribution. It is paired with 8 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 2750 MHz, a maximum supported memory capacity of 12 GB, and 256 GB of internal storage via eMMC 5.1, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 22 GB/s across two memory channels. Graphics are handled by the integrated Adreno 710 GPU clocked at 800 MHz, with 128 shading units, support for DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset also includes integrated LTE and ARM TrustZone security, supports 64-bit processing, and has a TDP of 7W. Cache consists of 256 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. In benchmarks, the device scores 240,105 on AnTuTu, 943 single-core and 2,748 multi-core on Geekbench 6, and 6,373 on PCMark Work 3.0.

The Oppo A3 4G uses a single-lens 50 MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a CMOS sensor, supporting phase-detection autofocus for stills, continuous autofocus during video recording, and touch autofocus. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while optical zoom is not available and there is no optical image stabilization. The rear camera records video at up to 1080p at 60 fps, with additional support for slow-motion recording, HDR mode, burst mode, panorama, and timelapse; HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Flash is handled by a single LED unit — there is no dual-tone or RGB flash. On the front, a 5 MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture is present, though it lacks its own flash, a dual-lens setup, or an under-display placement. Neither camera supports RAW capture, 360° panorama, laser autofocus, or 3D photo and video recording.

The Oppo A3 4G runs Android 14 and includes a broad range of software features covering both usability and privacy. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. Customization options include theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and extra dim mode, while focus modes and app offloading are not supported. The OS supports split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. On-device machine learning is available, as are offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, and multi-user support. OS updates do not come directly from the vendor, and Quick Start and Wi-Fi password sharing are not included.

The Oppo A3 4G is equipped with a 5100 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 45W wired fast charging. A charger is included in the box, and the device features a battery level indicator. Wireless charging is not available.

The Oppo A3 4G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio output, but it does not feature stereo speakers. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Oppo A3 4G supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC, while 5G is not available — the device operates on 4G cellular only. It accommodates two SIM cards and includes an external memory slot for storage expansion. The USB Type-C port runs on USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. Download speeds reach up to 2900 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 900 Mbits/s. For location, the device supports GPS, Galileo, and includes a compass and accelerometer, though it lacks a gyroscope, barometer, and motion or optical tracking. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Additional features such as satellite SOS, crash detection, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, infrared sensor, DLNA certification, and a built-in projector are all absent, and no stylus is included.

The Oppo A3 4G includes a video light for use during video recording, but its display is flat rather than curved and does not use sapphire glass or e-paper technology.
