Oppo A3 5G

The Oppo A3 5G has a non-folding, non-rugged form factor measuring 165.7 mm tall, 76 mm wide, and 7.68 mm thick, with a weight of 187 g and a total volume of 96.72 cm³. Despite the absence of a rugged build, it carries an IP54 ingress protection rating, meaning it offers a degree of resistance against dust contact and water splashes from any direction.

The Oppo A3 5G features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1604 px and a pixel density of 264 ppi. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion, paired with a 240Hz touch sampling rate for more responsive input. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Oppo A3 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an 8-thread CPU running at 2 x 2.4 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies for efficient workload distribution. It comes with 6GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz and 128GB of internal storage, with the chipset supporting a maximum memory amount of 12GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, with DirectX 12 support. The processor supports 64-bit computing and multithreading, and includes integrated LTE. Benchmark results place the device at 402,920 on AnTuTu, 782 on Geekbench 6 single-core, and 2,012 on Geekbench 6 multi-core. Cache configuration consists of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3.

The Oppo A3 5G carries a single-lens 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a CMOS sensor, supporting phase-detection autofocus for stills as well as continuous autofocus during video recording. It records video at up to 1080p at 60 fps and also supports slow-motion recording, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, touch autofocus, panorama, and timelapse round out the shooting options; raw capture and manual shutter speed are not supported. The main camera has no optical zoom and no optical image stabilization, and flash is provided by a single LED unit without dual-tone or RGB capability. On the front, there is a 5 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.2 aperture, no dedicated flash, and no under-display placement. Neither 3D photo and video recording nor 360-degree panorama capture are available on this device.

The Oppo A3 5G runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy and usability features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. The interface supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is aided by split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, sharing intents, widgets, and the ability to play games while they download. It also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, phone tracking, a child lock, battery health check, and multi-user functionality. Features not present include focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, app offloading, Quick Start, direct OS vendor updates, and the ability to function as a PC.

The Oppo A3 5G is fitted with a 5100 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 45W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it easy to monitor remaining charge at a glance. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Oppo A3 5G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio and supports LDAC for higher-quality Bluetooth audio transmission. Stereo speakers are not present, and the device does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, or aptX Lossless codecs. There is no built-in radio.

The Oppo A3 5G supports 5G connectivity and comes with a cellular module, dual SIM slots, and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC are also on board, along with a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0 and a maximum download speed of 3300 MBits/s. An external memory slot is available for expandable storage. For location and navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, though a gyroscope, barometer, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not featured. The device does not include an infrared sensor, HDMI output, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, a built-in projector, or a stylus.

The Oppo A3 5G includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device does not feature sapphire glass or an e-paper display.
