Oppo A3 Pro

The Oppo A3 Pro has a non-folding, non-rugged design that nonetheless offers meaningful physical protection through its IP69 ingress protection rating, classifying it as waterproof against high-pressure water exposure. It measures 162.7 mm tall, 74.3 mm wide, and just 7.5 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 90.66 cm³, keeping the overall footprint slim despite housing a large display. The device weighs 182 g, striking a balance between presence in hand and everyday portability.

The Oppo A3 Pro features a 6.7″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 px and a pixel density of 394 ppi, delivering a reasonably sharp visual experience across its large panel. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a typical brightness of 500 nits, with Always-On Display functionality supported for at-a-glance information. It does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision; the device also lacks a secondary screen.

The Oppo A3 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050, a 6 nm chipset with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 2 x 2.6 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz, supported by 8 threads, big.LITTLE architecture, and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for workload distribution. It is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 3200 MHz across 4 memory channels, with a maximum supported memory ceiling of 16GB, and 512GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the Mali G68 MP4 with 4 execution units, 64 shading units, a base clock of 950 MHz, and a turbo frequency of 900 MHz, with support for DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. Geekbench 6 scores stand at 936 single-core and 2257 multi-core, while additional hardware features include integrated LTE, integrated graphics, NX bit, TrustZone security, multithreading, a 2 MB L3 cache, and a thermal design power rating of 5W.

The Oppo A3 Pro carries a dual-lens rear camera system consisting of a 64 MP lens at f/1.7 and a 2 MP lens at f/2.4, both using a CMOS sensor without back-illumination. Focusing options include phase-detection autofocus for stills, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent. Video recording reaches up to 2160p at 30 fps, with slow-motion capture also supported, but neither HDR10 nor Dolby Vision recording is available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse; raw capture and manual shutter speed are not supported. A single LED flash is present on the rear — not dual-tone or RGB — and there is no optical image stabilization or optical zoom. The 8 MP front camera sits behind an f/2.0 aperture, features a single lens, and lacks both a front-facing flash and an under-display placement.

The Oppo A3 Pro runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, among them clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the customization side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and app offloading are unavailable. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, a media picker, and the ability to play games while they download. On-device machine learning is supported, as are offline voice recognition and voice commands, device tracking, multi-user functionality, a child lock, battery health checking, and an extra dim display mode. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not available, and the device does not support Wi-Fi password sharing or Quick Start.

The Oppo A3 Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 67W fast charging, allowing for relatively quick top-ups when connected via cable. Wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present, keeping the remaining charge visible at a glance.

The Oppo A3 Pro omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and does not include stereo speakers or a built-in radio. For wireless audio, it supports aptX HD, while aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available.

The Oppo A3 Pro supports 5G connectivity alongside dual SIM functionality, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi across three standards — Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) — with maximum download and upload speeds of 2770 Mbits/s and 1250 Mbits/s respectively. The device connects via USB Type-C at USB 2.0 and includes NFC, while HDMI output, DLNA certification, and an external memory slot are absent. Security options cover a fingerprint scanner, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not featured, and neither crash detection nor emergency SOS via satellite is available. On the sensor front, the handset includes a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS with Galileo support, and an infrared sensor, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, motion tracking, and optical tracking are all absent. No stylus is included, and there is no built-in projector.

The Oppo A3 Pro features a curved display and includes a video light for use during recording. The screen uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
