On the durability front, the handset carries an IP54 rating, meaning it offers meaningful protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, qualifying it as water resistant for everyday situations.

The Oppo A3x 5G features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1604 px and a pixel density of 264 ppi. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion, backed by a 240Hz touch sampling rate for more responsive input. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. It also lacks branded damage-resistant glass protection.

The Oppo A3x 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm octa-core chipset configured as two performance cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz, supporting 8 threads, multithreading, big.LITTLE technology, and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing. The SoC integrates an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU running at 950 MHz with DirectX 12 support, alongside integrated LTE. The device ships with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz and 64GB of internal storage, while the platform supports a maximum of 12GB of RAM and delivers a peak memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. Cache layers consist of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. In benchmarks, it achieves an AnTuTu score of 409,464 and Geekbench 6 results of 782 single-core and 2,012 multi-core, with the chipset operating in full 64-bit mode.

The Oppo A3x 5G has a single-lens rear camera with an 8 MP CMOS sensor and an f/2.0 aperture, capable of recording video at 1080p and 60 fps with continuous autofocus during recording. It supports phase-detection autofocus for stills, touch autofocus, HDR mode, burst shooting, slow-motion video, timelapse, and in-camera panoramas, along with a range of manual controls including exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance — though manual shutter speed is not available. There is no optical zoom, no optical image stabilization, no back-illuminated sensor, and the rear flash is a single standard LED unit without dual-tone or RGB capability; RAW capture is also absent. The Oppo A3x 5G is equipped with a 5100 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 45W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box.
