The panel supports a 90Hz refresh rate alongside a 180Hz touch sampling rate, contributing to smoother on-screen interactions. It does not include branded damage-resistant glass, HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision support, and there is no Always-On Display feature or secondary screen.

The Oppo A40M is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a 4nm octa-core chipset configured with four cores at 2.2 GHz and four at 1.8 GHz, using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support for efficient workload distribution across its 8 threads.
