Oppo A5 Pro

The Oppo A5 Pro has a non-folding, standard-form design measuring 161.5mm tall, 74.9mm wide, and 7.6mm thick, with a total volume of 91.93 cm³ and a weight of 186g. Its most notable design credential is its IP68 ingress protection rating, which classifies it as fully waterproof against dust and water immersion. The device does not feature a rugged build in the traditional reinforced sense, but the IP68 certification still provides a meaningful level of environmental protection for everyday use.

The Oppo A5 Pro features a 6.7″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a 1080 x 2412 px resolution and a pixel density of 394 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant visual experience. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and typical brightness is rated at 600 nits. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering solid resistance against scratches and accidental drops. The screen does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. The device has no second display panel.

The Oppo A5 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a 4nm chipset built on an 8-thread big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP), running four cores at 2.5 GHz and four at 2.0 GHz, and integrating both LTE and graphics directly on the SoC. The Mali G615 MC2 GPU operates at 1047 MHz, supports DirectX 12, and drives a single display. The chip is built from 6,200 million transistors and scores 665,633 on AnTuTu, with Geekbench 6 results of 1,053 single-core and 2,932 multi-core. It comes with 12GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6400 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 16GB — alongside 512GB of internal storage, and the 64-bit platform fully supports modern application workloads.

The Oppo A5 Pro uses a dual-lens rear camera system combining a 50MP sensor at f/1.8 and a 2MP sensor at f/2.4, both using a CMOS sensor without back-illumination, and there is no optical image stabilization or optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for stills, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps along with slow-motion capture, HDR mode, burst mode, panorama, and timelapse, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, but manual shutter speed and RAW capture are not supported. A single LED flash is present on the rear — not dual-tone or RGB — and the front camera offers a 16MP single-lens setup at f/2.4 without a flash, under-display placement, or a secondary lens, and 360° panorama and 3D photo or video recording are not features of this device.

The Oppo A5 Pro runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, extra dim mode, customizable notifications, notification permission controls, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, and multi-user support. The system also offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device tracking, the ability to offload apps, a battery health check, Live Text selection in images, and the option to play games while they are still downloading. Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC are not supported, and OS updates are not delivered directly from the OS vendor.

The Oppo A5 Pro is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 80W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is available for monitoring charge status. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Oppo A5 Pro features stereo speakers and supports a strong range of Bluetooth audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC, though aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless are not available. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Oppo A5 Pro supports 5G connectivity with a dual-SIM cellular module, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.4, while download and upload speeds reach up to 3270 MBits/s. It connects via USB Type-C with USB 2.0 and includes NFC, though there is no HDMI output, no external memory slot, and no DLNA certification. For positioning, the device features GPS with Galileo support alongside a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, but does not include a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, or ANT+ support. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. Motion tracking, optical tracking, satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, and a built-in projector are also not part of this device's feature set, and no stylus is included.

The Oppo A5 Pro includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device does not use sapphire glass or an e-paper panel.
