Oppo A5x (64GB / 4GB RAM)

The Oppo A5x has a standard rectangular, non-folding form factor measuring 165.7 mm tall, 76.2 mm wide, and 8 mm thick, with a total volume of 101.01 cm³. It weighs 193 g and carries an IP65 ingress protection rating, confirming it is dust-tight and resistant to water jets, though it does not feature a rugged-certified build.

The Oppo A5x features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720 x 1604 px, resulting in a pixel density of 264 ppi. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, providing branded damage resistance, though it does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or an Always-On Display mode. There is no secondary screen present.

The Oppo A5x is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a 4 nm octa-core SoC running eight threads across two clusters at 2.2 GHz and 1.8 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP, and a 7W TDP. It is paired with 4GB of DDR5 RAM at 2750 MHz across two memory channels, delivering a maximum bandwidth of 22 GB/s, while internal storage stands at 64GB via eMMC 5.1, with the platform supporting up to 12GB of memory. The Adreno 710 GPU operates at 800 MHz with 128 shading units, supports DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, and handles graphics through integrated graphics logic. Cache configuration includes 256 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. The chipset also includes integrated LTE, TrustZone security, and 64-bit support, and the platform scores 2748 in Geekbench 6 multi-core and 943 in single-core testing.

The Oppo A5x carries a single rear camera with a 32 MP CMOS sensor, supported by phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though it lacks optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, and a back-illuminated sensor. The main camera records video at 1080p and 30 fps with slow-motion support, but does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, nor 3D or 360-degree panorama capture. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, in-camera panorama, timelapse, and a built-in HDR mode are all available; raw shooting and manual shutter speed control are not. Flash is provided by a single LED unit with no dual-tone or RGB configuration. The 5 MP front camera sits at a standard position above the display — not under it — has a 2.2f aperture, and is a single-lens unit with no dedicated front flash.

The Oppo A5x runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, dynamic and manual theme customization, dark mode, and an extra dim mode. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are absent. Productivity is further covered by full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, customizable notifications, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, app offloading, on-device machine learning, and the ability to play games while they download. A child lock and battery health check are also present. OS updates are not delivered directly by the vendor, and Quick Start and Wi-Fi password sharing are not supported.

The Oppo A5x is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 45W wired fast charging. Wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present, keeping the user informed of remaining charge at a glance.

The Oppo A5x features stereo speakers for audio output and supports aptX over Bluetooth for improved wireless audio quality, though aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Oppo A5x supports dual SIM cards and connects wirelessly via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0, though 5G is not available, limiting cellular connectivity to LTE and below. Wired connectivity is handled through a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. The device includes a fingerprint scanner for biometric security, while 3D facial recognition and iris scanning are absent. Navigation is covered by GPS with Galileo support and a compass, and onboard sensors include an accelerometer and infrared sensor; however, a gyroscope, barometer, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are not present. An external memory slot allows for storage expansion, and the device does not include NFC, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, satellite SOS, crash detection, or a built-in projector. Download speeds reach up to 2900 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 900 Mbits/s.

The Oppo A5x includes a video light to assist with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
