Oppo A6 4G

The Oppo A6 4G has a fixed, non-folding form factor measuring 166.6 mm tall, 78.5 mm wide, and 8.6 mm thick, with a total volume of 112.47 cm³ and a weight of 215 g. A standout aspect of its build is the IP68 ingress protection rating, which certifies the device as waterproof at depths of up to 1.5 metres. The phone does not feature a rugged construction beyond this water resistance certification.

The Oppo A6 4G uses a 6.75-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1570 px and a pixel density of 256 ppi. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate alongside a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and reaches a typical brightness of 900 nits. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, nor does it offer an Always-On Display mode or a secondary screen.

The Oppo A6 4G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running four cores at 2.8 GHz and four at 1.9 GHz across 8 threads, with integrated LTE and big.LITTLE technology. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 16GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 17 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the integrated Adreno 610 GPU clocked at 1260 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0. The chipset is 64-bit capable and includes both NX bit and TrustZone security features. In Geekbench 6 testing, the device scores 473 single-core and 1510 multi-core, while Geekbench 5 results stand at 442 single-core and 1787 multi-core.

The Oppo A6 4G features a single-lens rear camera with a 50 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, backed by phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though optical image stabilization and laser autofocus are absent. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with no support for HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, but slow-motion video capture is available. The rear camera includes a single LED flash and offers a solid range of manual controls — exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance — along with burst mode, HDR, timelapse, and in-camera panorama, while RAW shooting and manual shutter speed are not supported. On the front, an 8 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies; it is a single-lens unit with no front-facing flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Oppo A6 4G runs Android 15 and offers a broad set of software features covering both usability and privacy. On the privacy side, it includes clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, and sharing intents, while focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are absent. On-device machine learning is supported alongside offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone tracking. Additional practical features include customizable notifications, notification permissions, a child lock, multi-user support, app offloading, an extra dim mode, battery health check, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Oppo A6 4G is equipped with a 7000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 45W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for at-a-glance monitoring. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Oppo A6 4G features stereo speakers and supports aptX for improved Bluetooth audio quality, though aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Oppo A6 4G supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC, while 5G is not available — the device operates on 4G cellular only. It accommodates two SIM cards and includes an external memory slot for expandable storage. The USB Type-C port runs on USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. Cellular download speeds reach up to 390 Mbit/s with upload speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s. For navigation, the phone includes GPS with Galileo support and a compass, while a gyroscope, barometer, and motion or optical tracking are absent. The accelerometer is present, but there is no heart rate monitor, infrared sensor, or ANT+ support. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, and a stylus are all absent.

The Oppo A6 4G includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper display are featured.
