Oppo A6 5G

The Oppo A6 5G has a fixed, non-folding design measuring 166.6 mm tall, 78.5 mm wide, and 8.6 mm thick, with a total volume of 112.47 cm³ and a weight of 216 g. A standout aspect of its build is the IP68 waterproof rating, which certifies the device against submersion at depths of up to 1.5 metres, though it does not carry a dedicated rugged classification.

The Oppo A6 5G features a 6.75″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1570 px and a pixel density of 256 ppi. The panel runs at a 120Hz refresh rate backed by a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and reaches a typical brightness of 900 nits. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. The display also lacks branded damage-resistant glass.

The Oppo A6 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, fabricated on a 6 nm process and featuring an octa-core CPU with two cores running at 2.4 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz across 8 threads, with big.LITTLE and HMP support enabling flexible workload distribution. Graphics are handled by an integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with DirectX 12 support. The SoC is paired with 12 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz, a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s, and 256 GB of internal storage, while the cache hierarchy consists of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. The chip also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing and multithreading, and scores 782 in Geekbench 6 single-core and 2012 in multi-core testing.

The Oppo A6 5G carries a single rear camera with a 50 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, supported by phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though optical image stabilization and laser autofocus are absent. It records video at up to 1080p at 60 fps with slow-motion support, but does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, panorama, timelapse, and built-in HDR round out the shooting options; raw capture and manual shutter speed are not available. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash. The Oppo A6 5G runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user accounts, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, and voice commands. Privacy controls include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, widgets, extra dim mode, and customizable notifications with full notification permission controls, while focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent. Productivity features cover split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text selection, app offloading, and the ability to play games while they download. A child lock, battery health check, and device position tracking are also included, though Quick Start and the ability to use the phone as a PC are not supported, and OS updates do not come directly from the platform vendor.

The Oppo A6 5G houses a 7000 mAh non-removable rechargeable battery with a battery level indicator and includes a charger in the box. It supports 45W wired fast charging, but neither wireless charging nor reverse wireless charging are available.

The Oppo A6 5G features stereo speakers and supports aptX HD for higher-quality Bluetooth audio, while aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. The device does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack or a built-in radio.

The Oppo A6 5G includes a video light for illuminating footage during recording, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
