The Oppo A6x 4G has a standard candy-bar form factor — it neither folds nor carries a rugged-certified build — but it does earn an IP64 rating, making it resistant to dust ingress and capable of handling water splashes. The handset measures 166.6 mm tall, 78.5 mm wide, and 8.6 mm thick, giving it a total volume of roughly 112.47 cm³. At 210 g, it sits on the heavier side for a smartphone, largely a reflection of its large chassis and sizeable battery.

The Oppo A6x 4G uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.75″, delivering a resolution of 720 x 1570 px at a pixel density of 256 ppi. Its 120Hz refresh rate keeps on-screen motion fluid, and the 240Hz touch sampling rate ensures responsive input. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. It also lacks branded damage-resistant glass, so the panel has no certified scratch or impact protection of that kind.

The Oppo A6x 4G is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G, a 6 nm chipset with an octa-core CPU arranged in a big.LITTLE configuration running four cores at 2.8 GHz and four at 1.9 GHz across 8 threads, with integrated LTE built directly into the SoC. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 610 GPU, clocked at 1260 MHz, which supports DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, with integrated graphics on-chip. The chip is paired with 6 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz offering up to 17 GB/s of memory bandwidth, and the device ships with 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with the platform supporting a maximum memory configuration of 16 GB. The SoC is 64-bit capable and includes both NX bit and TrustZone security features. In benchmarks, the chipset scores 473 single-core and 1510 multi-core in Geekbench 6, and 442 single-core and 1787 multi-core in Geekbench 5.

The Oppo A6x 4G features a single-lens 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a CMOS sensor, though it lacks a back-illuminated sensor and optical image stabilization. Autofocus is handled via phase-detection, with touch autofocus and continuous autofocus during video recording also supported, while laser autofocus is absent. The main camera records video at 1080p 30 fps but does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, and there is no optical zoom. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available; additional shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, slow-motion, and timelapse. A single LED flash accompanies the rear camera — not dual-tone or RGB — and there is no front-facing flash. The 5 MP front camera also uses an f/2.2 aperture and is a single-lens setup positioned in a conventional location rather than under the display, with no 3D photo or 360-degree panorama capability on either camera, and RAW capture is not supported.

The Oppo A6x 4G runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, and app offloading. Privacy features are well-covered, including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking protection and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Personalization options include dark mode, dynamic theming, and theme customization, while productivity is aided by full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, customizable notifications, and notification permission controls. The device also supports offline voice recognition, voice commands, on-device machine learning, a child lock, battery health check, an extra dim display mode, and phone position tracking. OS updates do not arrive directly from the platform vendor, Wi-Fi password sharing and focus modes are absent, and the device cannot function as a PC; Quick Start is likewise not supported.

The Oppo A6x 4G is equipped with a 6500 mAh rechargeable battery that ships with a charger included in the box, and a battery level indicator is available on the device. However, the battery is non-removable, and the phone does not support fast charging, wireless charging, or reverse wireless charging.

The Oppo A6x 4G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired listening and supports aptX over Bluetooth for improved wireless audio quality. That said, higher-tier Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC — are not supported. The device has a single speaker rather than a stereo setup, and there is no built-in FM radio.

The Oppo A6x 4G is a 4G-only device with no 5G support, operating on a cellular module alongside dual SIM capability and Wi-Fi covering both Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The Oppo A6x 4G includes a video light, which can be used to illuminate subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
