It weighs 187 g, keeping it reasonably light for daily handling. While it does not feature a rugged build, the device carries an IP64 rating, meaning it offers solid protection against dust ingress and resistance to water splashes from any direction, though it is not rated for full water submersion.

The Oppo F27 5G features a 6.67″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 px and a pixel density of 395 ppi, producing a sharp and detailed image across its large panel. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth motion during scrolling and everyday interaction, and reaches a typical brightness of 600 nits. An Always-On Display mode is supported, allowing key information to remain visible without fully waking the screen. The panel does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, nor does the device have a secondary screen.

The Oppo F27 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm octa-core SoC configured as 2 cores at 2.4 GHz and 6 cores at 2 GHz, employing big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for efficient workload distribution across its 8 threads. The chipset includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics via the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, and supports DirectX 12. On the memory side, the device comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz, a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s, and supports up to 12GB of RAM in total, paired with 256GB of internal storage. Cache is arranged across 512 KB of L1, 1 MB of L2, and 2 MB of L3. The chipset is 64-bit capable and supports multithreading, while Geekbench 6 results stand at 782 for single-core and 2012 for multi-core performance.

The Oppo F27 5G features a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50 MP primary sensor at f/1.8 and a 2 MP secondary sensor at f/2.4, both using a CMOS sensor without back-illumination. The main camera supports phase-detection autofocus and touch autofocus for photos, continuous autofocus during video, and records video at up to 1080p at 60 fps, though it lacks optical image stabilization and optical zoom. On the customization side, the OS offers theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications, and widget support, while focus modes and app offloading are not included. Practical usability features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, a child lock, multi-user support, device tracking, and the ability to play games while they download. The system does not support Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, or use as a PC, and OS updates are not delivered directly from the platform vendor.

The Oppo F27 5G is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 45W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it straightforward to monitor remaining charge at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Oppo F27 5G includes stereo speakers for audio output and supports both aptX and aptX HD for higher-quality Bluetooth audio streaming. However, it does not support aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC, and there is no 3.5 mm headphone jack.
