The Oppo Find X8 uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.59″ with a resolution of 1256 x 2760 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi, backed by a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input. Typical brightness sits at 800 nits, and the display supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, covering a broad range of high dynamic range content formats. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and includes an Always-On Display mode, while there is no secondary screen present on the device.

The Oppo Find X8 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, a 3 nm chipset with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of 1 x 3.63, 4 x 3.3, and 3 x 2.4 GHz, supported by big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for efficient workload distribution. Graphics are handled by the integrated Immortalis G925 GPU clocked at 1300 MHz, and the chipset also includes integrated LTE. The device ships with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 10667 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 24 GB — alongside 1024 GB of internal storage, a 12 MB L3 cache, and full 64-bit and multithreading support. In benchmarks, it scores 2,880,400 on AnTuTu and posts Geekbench 6 results of 8,969 multi-core and 2,874 single-core.

The Oppo Find X8 features a triple rear camera system with three 50 MP sensors at apertures of f/1.8, f/2.6, and f/2.0, supported by optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, and a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus, along with continuous autofocus during video recording, while manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance — though manual shutter speed is not available. Video recording reaches up to 2160p at 60 fps with slow-motion support, and shooting modes include burst, panorama, timelapse, and built-in HDR, but the camera does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, RAW capture, or 360-degree panoramas. The rear camera has a flash, though it is neither dual-tone nor RGB. On the front, a single 32 MP camera sits at f/2.4 without a front-facing flash, a secondary lens, or an under-display placement, and 3D photo or video capture is not supported.

The Oppo Find X8 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking — though Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not present. On the customization side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and customizable notifications, while productivity is aided by split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not supported, and the device also lacks focus modes, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC.

The Oppo Find X8 houses a 5,630 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a battery level indicator included. It supports fast wired charging at 80 W, wireless charging at 50 W, and reverse wireless charging at 10 W, covering a full range of charging options, and a charger is included in the box.

The Oppo Find X8 features stereo speakers and supports both aptX and aptX HD for Bluetooth audio, though it does not include LDAC, aptX Adaptive, or aptX Lossless. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Oppo Find X8 supports 5G and accommodates two SIM cards, with wireless connectivity spanning Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 7 alongside Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. The USB Type-C port runs at USB 2.0, and there is no external memory slot or HDMI output. Sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and GPS with Galileo support, while the device also features a fingerprint scanner and emergency SOS via satellite. Crash detection, a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, 3D facial recognition, iris scanner, motion tracking, optical tracking, DLNA certification, and a built-in projector are all absent, and no stylus is included.

The Oppo Find X8 includes a video light for recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
