Oppo Find X8 Pro

The Oppo Find X8 Pro has a non-folding, standard-form design measuring 162.3 mm tall, 76.7 mm wide, and 8.2 mm thick, with a total volume of around 102.08 cm³ and a weight of 215 g. It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, making it fully waterproof against dust and water immersion. The build is not classified as rugged, so while water resistance is a confirmed feature, it is not engineered for extreme environmental conditions beyond the IP68 standard.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro features a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1264 x 2780 px and a pixel density of 450 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image across its large panel. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and typical brightness sits at 800 nits. It is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for damage resistance and supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for wide-format content compatibility. An Always-On Display mode is also available, while there is no secondary screen on the device.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, a 3 nm chipset with an eight-thread CPU configuration running at up to 3.63 GHz, supported by big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for efficient workload distribution. Graphics are handled by the integrated Immortalis G925 GPU clocked at 1300 MHz. The device comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 10667 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 24 GB — alongside 1024 GB of internal storage, and a 12 MB L3 cache. It supports 64-bit processing, multithreading, and has integrated LTE on the SoC. Benchmark results include an AnTuTu score of 2,880,558, Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core scores of 2874 and 8969 respectively, a 3DMark Wild Life score of 11,696, a 3DMark Wild Life Extreme score of 5,383, a 3DMark Steel Nomad score of 2,474, a PCMark Work 3.0 performance score of 14,970, and a PCMark Work 3.0 battery result of 986 minutes.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro features a quad-lens rear camera system, with each sensor resolving at 50 MP and apertures of f/1.6, f/2.6, f/4.3, and f/2.0 across the four lenses, paired with 6x optical zoom and built-in optical image stabilization. The array uses a CMOS sensor — without back-side illumination — and supports phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording. Two LED flash units are present, though neither dual-tone nor RGB configurations are included. Video capture reaches 4K at 60 fps with Dolby Vision recording support, while HDR10 recording is not available; slow-motion video and timelapse are both supported. For stills, the camera offers HDR mode, burst shooting, RAW capture, panoramas, and manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance — though manual shutter speed is not available. The 32 MP front camera has an f/2.4 aperture and is a single-lens unit positioned on the front bezel rather than under the display, and it does not include a front-facing flash. 360-degree panorama shooting and 3D photo or video recording are not supported.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is supported. On the customization side, the OS offers theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications, and widget support, while focus modes are absent. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, a media picker, full-page screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, app offloading, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The system supports multi-user accounts, a child lock, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone tracking, but does not offer Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, or the ability to function as a PC. OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor, and the platform is free and open source.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro houses a non-removable rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5910 mAh, and a charger is included in the box. Wired fast charging reaches 80W, while wireless charging is supported at 50W, and reverse wireless charging allows the device to charge other compatible accessories at 10W. An ultra power-saving mode is available for extending usage when the battery is critically low, and a battery level indicator keeps the remaining charge visible at a glance. Battery health monitoring is also built in.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro includes stereo speakers and supports a range of Bluetooth audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC, enabling high-quality wireless audio playback. However, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless are not supported. The device does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so wired audio requires an adapter, and there is no built-in radio.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro supports 5G connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with wireless networking covering Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 7 (802.11n/ac/ax/be). Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are both present, and the device connects via a USB Type-C port running USB 3.1. There is no external memory slot, no HDMI output, and no infrared sensor. Security and biometrics are handled through a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included, nor is a stylus. On the safety side, emergency SOS via satellite is supported, though crash detection is not available. Sensors on board include a gyroscope, accelerometer, GPS, compass, and Galileo support, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent. DLNA certification is not included.

The Oppo Find X8 Pro includes a video light, making it usable for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
