Oppo Find X8 Ultra (256GB / 12GB RAM)

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra has a non-folding, conventional form factor measuring 163.1 × 76.8 mm with a thickness of 8.8 mm and a weight of 226 g. Its overall volume comes to approximately 110.23 cm³. A standout aspect of its construction is the IP69 ingress protection rating, which classifies the device as fully waterproof and capable of withstanding high-pressure water exposure. It does not feature a rugged build in the traditional sense, but the IP69 certification reflects a strong level of environmental resistance.

The Find X8 Ultra uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.82″ with a resolution of 1440 × 3168 px and a pixel density of 510 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image. The panel runs at a 120 Hz refresh rate and reaches a typical brightness of 1,600 nits, with support for HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for broad high-dynamic-range compatibility. It is protected by branded damage-resistant glass. The screen does not support Always-On Display, and there is no secondary screen present.

The Find X8 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at 2 × 4.32 GHz and 6 × 3.53 GHz, supported by big.LITTLE architecture and HMP for efficient workload distribution. It is paired with 12GB of DDR5 RAM at 5300 MHz and 256GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 24GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s across two memory channels. The Adreno 830 GPU operates at 1100 MHz, features 1536 shading units, supports up to two displays, and is compatible with DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3. The chipset includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics, TrustZone security, ECC memory support, and multithreading, with a TDP of 8.2W. Cache consists of 192 KB L1, 12 MB L2, and 8 MB L3. Benchmark results stand at 2,792,179 on AnTuTu, 3,234 on Geekbench 6 single-core, and 10,059 on Geekbench 6 multi-core.

The Find X8 Ultra features a quad-lens rear camera system, with all four sensors resolving at 50MP and apertures of f/1.8, f/1.8, f/3.1, and f/2.0 respectively, covering a maximum focal length of 135 mm and offering 6× optical zoom. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination, and is equipped with optical image stabilization, phase-detection autofocus, laser autofocus, and touch autofocus, with continuous autofocus also available during video recording. Video capture reaches up to 2160p at 60 fps, with slow-motion recording supported, while HDR mode, burst shooting, timelapse, and in-camera panoramas round out the feature set. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available; the camera also shoots in RAW format. The flash setup consists of two LED units without dual-tone or RGB configuration, and there is no front-facing flash. HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported, and 3D or 360-degree capture is absent. The 32MP front camera sits at f/2.4, is single-lens, and is positioned on the front bezel rather than under the display.

The Find X8 Ultra runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera/microphone access management, along with the ability to block app tracking; cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Customization options span theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, and widget support, while focus modes and Quick Start are not available. The software supports split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, customizable notifications, and Live Text for selecting text from images. Users can also offload apps, manage multiple user accounts, and make use of a child lock. On the productivity and utility side, the device offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, battery health check, and the ability to play games while they are downloading. OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor, and the device cannot function as a PC replacement. Wi-Fi password sharing is also not supported.

The Find X8 Ultra houses a non-removable rechargeable battery with a capacity of 6,100 mAh, supported by wired fast charging at 100W and wireless charging at 50W. It also supports reverse wireless charging at 10W, allowing the device to share power with other compatible accessories. A battery level indicator is present, giving users a clear view of remaining charge at a glance.

The Find X8 Ultra features stereo speakers but does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack or a built-in radio. For wireless audio, it supports aptX and aptX HD, enabling higher-quality Bluetooth playback, while aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available.

The Find X8 Ultra supports 5G connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download speeds reaching 10,000 Mbits/s and upload speeds of 3,500 Mbits/s. Wi-Fi coverage spans four generations — Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) — and Bluetooth 5.4 is on board alongside NFC. The USB interface is Type-C at version 3.2, though there is no HDMI output and no external memory slot. Sensors include a fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS with Galileo support, and an infrared sensor; a barometer, heart rate monitor, iris scanner, and 3D facial recognition are absent. The device does not support ANT+, DLNA, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, motion or optical tracking, and no stylus is included. 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not part of the biometric setup, and the device cannot function as a projector.

The Find X8 Ultra includes a video light, useful for illuminating subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no sapphire glass protection, and is not an e-paper panel.
