Oppo K12x

The Oppo K12x has a non-folding, standard form factor measuring 162.9 x 75.6 x 8.1 mm with a volume of 99.75 cm³ and a weight of 191 g. It does not carry a water resistance rating and lacks a rugged build, placing it squarely in the conventional consumer smartphone segment.

The Oppo K12x uses a 6.67″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a 1080 x 2400 px resolution at 395 ppi and a 120Hz refresh rate, with a typical brightness of 600 nits and an Always-On Display mode. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, lacks branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no secondary screen.

The Oppo K12x is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G, a 6 nm SoC with an octa-core CPU configuration running at up to 2.2 GHz across 8 threads using big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing, with a 4W TDP and a 3-wide front-end decode. It is paired with 12 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz across 2 memory channels, a maximum memory bandwidth of 17 GB/s, and 512 GB of internal storage, while the maximum supported memory amount is 8 GB. Graphics are managed by the Adreno 619 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, with integrated graphics onboard. The chip also includes integrated LTE, TrustZone security, NX bit protection, VFP version 4, 128-bit NEON execution, and 64-bit support, though multithreading is not used. Benchmark results include a Geekbench 6 single-core score of 894 and multi-core score of 2,044, Geekbench 5 single-core of 669 and multi-core of 1,928, and a PassMark result of 4,389.

The Oppo K12x has a dual-lens rear camera combining a 50 MP sensor at f/2.4 and a 2 MP sensor at f/1.8, built on a CMOS sensor without back-illumination or optical image stabilization. Autofocus options cover phase-detection and touch autofocus with continuous autofocus during video, while laser autofocus is absent. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available, and RAW shooting is not supported. Additional shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, timelapse, and slow-motion video, while 360° panorama, 3D recording, and optical zoom are not offered; video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash option, and the 16 MP f/2.4 front camera is a single-lens unit without a front-facing flash or under-display placement.

The Oppo K12x runs Android 14 and covers a solid range of privacy controls, including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking; Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. On the customization side, the OS supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is served through split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, customizable notifications with notification permission controls, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games during download. On-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, multi-user support, a child lock, battery health check, and Live Text for selecting content from images are also included. Focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, direct OS vendor updates, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported.

The Oppo K12x is equipped with a non-removable rechargeable 5500 mAh battery that supports fast wired charging at 80W, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, but wireless charging is not supported.

The Oppo K12x includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, offering practical wired and built-in audio output options. No advanced Bluetooth audio codecs are supported — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent — and there is no built-in radio.

The Oppo K12x supports 5G connectivity with download speeds up to 2,500 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 1,500 Mbits/s, and accommodates two SIM cards alongside an external memory slot for storage expansion. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, while wired data transfer goes through a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0; NFC is not present. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. Onboard sensors consist of a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and GPS with Galileo support, whereas a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, motion tracking, and optical tracking are absent. Satellite SOS, crash detection, ANT+, DLNA certification, HDMI output, a built-in projector, and a stylus are all not supported.

The Oppo K12x includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions, while the display is flat rather than curved and features neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
