The Oppo Reno12 Pro has a non-folding, non-rugged build that measures 161.5 mm tall, 74.8 mm wide, and just 7.4 mm thick, with a total volume of 89.39 cm³ and a weight of 180 g. It carries an IP65 rating, confirming certified resistance to dust and water ingress and making it suitable for everyday exposure to the elements.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro features a 6.7″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 px and a pixel density of 394 ppi, delivering a sharp and vibrant visual experience. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input, and reaches a typical brightness of 600 nits. It supports both HDR10 and HDR10+ for enhanced contrast and color depth, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Always-On Display, Dolby Vision, and a secondary screen are not included.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a 4 nm chipset with an octa-core CPU running at up to 2.5 GHz across 8 threads, supported by big.LITTLE and HMP scheduling for efficient workload distribution. The SoC integrates an LTE modem, a Mali G615 MC2 GPU clocked at 1047 MHz with DirectX 12 support, and handles a single external display. The device ships with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 6400 MHz and 512 GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory of 16 GB, and packs 6,200 million transistors. In benchmarks, it scores 1026 single-core and 2932 multi-core on Geekbench 6, 12716 on PCMark Work 3.0 performance with an endurance result of 888 minutes, and 351 on 3DMark Steel Nomad.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup with CMOS sensors at 50 MP (f/1.8), 50 MP (f/2.0), and 8 MP (f/2.2), supported by optical image stabilization and 2x optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch AF for photos, as well as continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent. Video recording reaches up to 2160p at 30 fps, with slow-motion and timelapse modes available, while HDR10 recording and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, but manual shutter speed is not included; burst mode and in-camera panorama are both present. The two LED flash units do not operate as a dual-tone or RGB flash, and there is no front-facing flash. On the front, a single 50 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies — it is a single-lens unit, not positioned under the display, and lacks its own flash.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro runs Android 14 and comes with a broad set of privacy and usability features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent. The interface supports dynamic and manual theme customization, dark mode, extra dim mode, customizable notifications, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, a media picker, and sharing intents. It also includes on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, a child lock, battery health check, and multi-user support, and can play games while they are still downloading. Direct OS vendor updates are not available, and focus modes, app offloading, and Quick Start are not supported either.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 80W fast charging, allowing for quick top-ups when needed. A battery level indicator is present for convenient monitoring. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro includes stereo speakers and supports both aptX and aptX HD for higher-quality Bluetooth audio transmission, though aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro supports 5G connectivity with download and upload speeds of up to 3270 Mbit/s, and accommodates two SIM cards alongside an external memory slot for additional storage. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 4, 5, and 6, while Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC round out the short-range options. Wired connections are handled via USB Type-C at USB 2.0 speeds, and there is no HDMI output. For navigation and sensing, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an infrared sensor, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Security is managed through a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present, and no stylus is included. Satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, DLNA certification, and a built-in projector are also not supported.

The Oppo Reno12 Pro includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel are used.
