Oukitel G1

The Oukitel G1 features a rugged build rated at IP68, confirming full waterproof protection against dust and prolonged water submersion. It measures 174.2 mm tall, 82.3 mm wide, and 17.4 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 249.46 cm³. The device is not foldable and weighs 373 g, reflecting the reinforced construction typical of its rugged design.

The Oukitel G1 uses a 6.56″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 576 x 1280 px and a pixel density of 215 ppi. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, offering resistance against everyday scratches and accidental impacts. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen.

The Oukitel G1 is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, built on a 12 nm process with an 8-thread CPU running at 2 x 1.6 GHz and 6 x 1.6 GHz using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies, and a TDP of 10W. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 MP1 GPU with a clock speed of 650 MHz, one execution unit, 64 shading units, and support for DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The device comes with 6 GB of DDR4 RAM at 1600 MHz and 256 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with a maximum supported memory of 14 GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 12.8 GB/s. Cache is organized across 128 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 1 MB L3 layers. Benchmark results include an AnTuTu score of 251,400, Geekbench 6 multi-core and single-core scores of 1,391 and 371 respectively, and a PassMark score of 2,663. The chipset also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and includes TrustZone security technology.

The Oukitel G1 features a dual-lens rear camera combining a 48 MP sensor at f/2.4 and a 2 MP sensor at f/2.2, both using a CMOS sensor type without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is not available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while HDR mode, burst shooting, and in-camera panorama are all supported; manual shutter speed, slow-motion recording, timelapse, RAW capture, and 360° panorama are not. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash configuration, and there is no front-facing flash. The 5 MP front camera at f/2.2 is a single-lens unit and is not positioned under the display. Optical zoom is not available, and the device does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, nor any 3D photo or video capture.

The Oukitel G1 runs Android 13, an open-source platform that supports multi-user accounts, voice commands with offline voice recognition, on-device machine learning, and device tracking. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. On the usability side, the OS supports dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, a media picker, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, and a child lock. Games can be played while downloading, and the device supports both voice commands and offline voice recognition. Features not present include Wi-Fi password sharing, battery health check, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided.

The Oukitel G1 is equipped with a 10600 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Oukitel G1 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a built-in FM radio. It does not feature stereo speakers, and none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Oukitel G1 supports dual SIM cards and connects wirelessly via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5, and NFC, while cellular connectivity is built in with download speeds of up to 300 Mbits/s and upload speeds of up to 100 Mbits/s. 5G is not supported. The device includes a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner, GPS with Galileo support, and an accelerometer, but lacks a gyroscope, compass, and barometer. Biometric options are limited to the fingerprint scanner, as 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. There is no external memory slot, HDMI output, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, or built-in projector, and no stylus is included. Crash detection and emergency SOS via satellite are also not available.

The Oukitel G1 includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel is used.
