Oukitel G3

The Oukitel G3 features a rugged build designed to withstand tough conditions, backed by an IP68 ingress protection rating that allows it to be submerged in water to a depth of 1.5 meters. The device is not a folding handset, instead presenting a solid, fixed-body construction that measures 166 mm tall, 81.1 mm wide, and 15 mm thick, with a total volume of 201.939 cm³. At 300 g, it sits on the heavier side, which is typical for smartphones built to this level of physical durability.

The Oukitel G3 uses a 6-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 576 x 1152 px and a pixel density of 215 ppi. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, offering a degree of resistance against scratches and accidental impacts. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen present on this device.

The Oukitel G3 is driven by the Unisoc T310 chipset, built on a 12 nm process and configured with four CPU threads running at 1 x 2 GHz and 3 x 1.8 GHz using big.LITTLE technology, with integrated LTE and 64-bit support. Graphics are handled by the PowerVR GE8300 GPU, clocked at 800 MHz with a turbo frequency also reaching 800 MHz, supporting DirectX 10, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 1.2. The device comes with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1333 MHz alongside 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, providing the foundational memory configuration for day-to-day use.

The Oukitel G3 features a single-lens 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a CMOS sensor, and phase-detection autofocus for stills, complemented by continuous autofocus during video recording. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, and the camera also supports HDR mode, burst shooting, touch autofocus, and in-camera panoramas. A single LED flash is present at the rear, though there is no dual-tone flash, no front-facing flash, and no optical image stabilization or optical zoom. The 5 MP front camera also sits at f/2.2 and is a single-lens unit positioned on the front face of the device rather than under the display. Slow-motion recording, timelapse, RAW capture, 360-degree panoramas, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, and 3D photo or video capabilities are all absent from this camera system.

The Oukitel G3 runs Android 14, a free and open-source platform that supports multiple user accounts and includes on-device machine learning. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is aided by split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, sharing intents, and Live Text. Voice commands and offline voice recognition are both supported, and the device can track its current position. Additional features include a battery health check, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not available, and OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor.

The Oukitel G3 is equipped with a 6300 mAh rechargeable battery that supports fast charging at 10W, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, giving users a straightforward readout of remaining charge. The battery is sealed and non-removable, and neither wireless charging nor reverse wireless charging is supported.

The Oukitel G3 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio connectivity and a built-in radio. The device does not feature stereo speakers, so audio output is limited to a single speaker. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codec standards are supported — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.

The Oukitel G3 supports dual SIM cards and connects wirelessly via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) as well as Bluetooth 5.0, though 5G is not available and the device is limited to 4G cellular connectivity. Wired connectivity is handled through a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and storage can be expanded via an external memory slot. Location is covered by GPS with Galileo support, and onboard sensors include an accelerometer and a compass, while a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are all absent. The device has a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, but does not offer 3D facial recognition or an iris scanner. NFC, DLNA, ANT+, HDMI output, emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, and a built-in projector are not present, and no stylus is included.

The Oukitel G3 includes a video light, which can be used to illuminate subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel is used in its construction.
