Oukitel WP35S

The Oukitel WP35S features a rugged build rated at IP68, meaning it is fully waterproof and protected against dust and sustained water immersion. The device measures 172.2 mm in height, 81 mm in width, and 14.9 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 207.82818 cm³ and a weight of 361 g. It does not support a folding form factor, maintaining a conventional fixed-body construction throughout.

The Oukitel WP35S uses a 6.56″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 269 ppi. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, offering solid resistance against scratches and accidental impacts. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or an Always-On mode, and there is no secondary screen present.

The Oukitel WP35S is driven by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset built on a 12 nm process, featuring an octa-core CPU with two cores clocked at 2 GHz and six at 1.8 GHz, supported by big.LITTLE technology and a 5W TDP. It comes with 6GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1800 MHz across two memory channels, delivering a maximum bandwidth of 13.41 GB/s, while internal storage sits at 256GB via eMMC 5.1 with expandability up to 1TB externally and a maximum supported memory amount of 8GB. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G52 MC2 GPU running at 1000 MHz with GPU Turbo support, compatible with DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0. The chipset also integrates LTE and includes TrustZone security, with the platform fully supporting 64-bit operation. In benchmarks, the device scores 236,545 on AnTuTu, 418 on Geekbench 6 single-core, and 1,386 on the multi-core test.

The Oukitel WP35S features a triple rear camera system with sensors at 48 MP, 8 MP, and 2 MP, paired with apertures of f/1.8, f/2.0, and f/2.2 respectively, all using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination or optical image stabilization. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with support for slow-motion recording but no HDR10 or Dolby Vision capture. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus with continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent, and there is no optical zoom. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, panorama, and timelapse round out the feature set; raw capture and 360° panorama are not supported. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash. On the front, a 16 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies, though it lacks its own flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Oukitel WP35S runs Android 14, a free and open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, and sharing intents. Privacy features are well covered, including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking protection and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Customization options include dark mode, dynamic theming, and theme customization, while productivity is aided by full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, customizable notifications, and on-device machine learning. The device also supports offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, battery health monitoring, an extra dim display mode, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to be used as a PC are not available, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Oukitel WP35S houses a 11000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is built in for easy monitoring, though the battery is not removable and wireless charging is not supported.

The Oukitel WP35S includes stereo speakers and a built-in radio, but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Oukitel WP35S supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port, though 5G is not available and HDMI output is absent. Cellular download speeds reach up to 300 Mbit/s with uploads up to 100 Mbit/s. NFC is on board, and an external memory slot allows for storage expansion. For navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support alongside a compass and accelerometer, while a gyroscope, barometer, and infrared sensor are not present. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, with no 3D facial recognition or iris scanner available. Features such as crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, ANT+, heart rate monitoring, DLNA, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent, and no stylus is included.

The Oukitel WP35S includes a video light for illumination during video recording, while its display is flat and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
