Oukitel WP50

The Oukitel WP50 features a rugged, IP68-rated waterproof build designed to withstand submersion and harsh environments. It measures 172.2 mm tall, 80 mm wide, and 12.4 mm thick, with a total weight of 281 g and a volume of 170.8 cm³. The phone has a conventional fixed-body design and cannot be folded.

The WP50 uses a 6.6-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 267 ppi. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, adding a layer of scratch and impact resistance suited to the phone's rugged nature. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or Always-On Display functionality, and there is no secondary screen.

The WP50 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, built on a 6nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running two cores at 2.2 GHz and six at 2.0 GHz, supported by 8 threads, big.LITTLE architecture, and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, with DirectX 12 support. The phone ships with 4GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz and 256GB of internal storage, with the platform supporting a maximum memory configuration of up to 12GB. Integrated LTE is built into the SoC, and the chipset supports 64-bit processing and multithreading.

The WP50 has a triple-lens rear camera system led by a 48MP main sensor, accompanied by a 2MP and a 0.3MP lens, all using a CMOS sensor without back-illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording. The camera supports a broad range of manual controls — ISO, focus, exposure, and white balance — along with HDR mode, burst mode, and in-camera panoramas, though it lacks optical image stabilization, manual shutter speed, slow-motion recording, RAW output, and timelapse. Video recording tops out at 1440p at 30fps, with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support, and a single LED flash is included at the rear. The 8MP front camera has an f/2.2 aperture but no front-facing flash, and it is a single-lens setup positioned above the display.

The WP50 runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy and usability features. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though it does not support Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, or Wi-Fi password sharing. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, customizable notifications, a media picker, and a child lock. It also includes offline voice recognition and voice commands, on-device machine learning, live text selection from images, phone tracking, multi-user support, battery health checks, an extra dim mode, and the ability to play games while downloading. Focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and direct OS vendor updates are not available.

The WP50 is equipped with a 6500 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, giving it a reasonable recharge rate for its capacity. A battery level indicator is included for monitoring charge status. The battery is non-removable and does not support wireless charging.

The WP50's audio setup is minimal — it has no 3.5mm headphone jack and no stereo speakers, and it does not support any high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs such as aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC. The one notable inclusion is a built-in FM radio, which allows access to broadcast stations without relying on an internet connection.

The WP50 supports 5G connectivity with download speeds up to 3300 Mbit/s, alongside dual SIM capability and Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5. Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC are both included, and the phone uses a USB Type-C port running on USB 2.0. For navigation, it offers GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, while a fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication. The phone does not include a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, or motion/optical tracking, and there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+ support, satellite SOS, crash detection, iris scanner, 3D facial recognition, or built-in projector.

The WP50 includes a video light for illuminating subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and the phone uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper screen.
