Oukitel WP52

The Oukitel WP52 has a substantial physical footprint, measuring 172.2 mm tall, 80 mm wide, and 12 mm thick, with a total volume of 165.312 cm³ and a weight of 281 g. A standout aspect of its design is the IP68 ingress protection rating, which classifies it as fully waterproof — offering reliable resistance against water exposure. The device does not feature a rugged build designation, nor does it support a folding form factor, making it a conventional fixed-frame smartphone.

The Oukitel WP52 features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 267 ppi, running at a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, offering a degree of scratch and impact resistance. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or an Always-On Display mode, and there is no secondary screen present.

The Oukitel WP52 is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 2 x 2.2 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support, and 8 threads with multithreading enabled. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, supporting DirectX 12. The device comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz and 256 GB of internal storage, with expandable memory support up to 2000 GB externally and a maximum total memory ceiling of 12 GB. It records an AnTuTu benchmark score of 445,000, supports 64-bit processing, and includes integrated LTE directly on the SoC.

The Oukitel WP52 features a multi-lens rear camera system led by a 48 MP main sensor, accompanied by a 2 MP and a 0.3 MP lens, all using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. It supports phase-detection autofocus for stills, continuous autofocus during video recording, and touch autofocus, though laser autofocus is absent. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, timelapse, slow-motion video, and in-camera panoramas are also available — however, manual shutter speed, RAW capture, and 360-degree panorama shooting are not supported. Video recording reaches up to 1440p at 30 fps, without HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording. The rear flash is a single-tone LED unit with no dual-tone or RGB configuration, and there is no optical zoom. On the front, an 8 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.2 aperture handles selfies, though it lacks a dedicated flash and is not positioned under the display.

The Oukitel WP52 runs Android 14 as a free and open-source platform, bringing a broad set of privacy controls including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking — though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the customization side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and app offloading are not available. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. On-device machine learning is supported alongside offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone tracking, and the system accommodates multiple user accounts as well as a child lock. Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are absent, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Oukitel WP52 is equipped with a 6500 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 18W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Oukitel WP52 includes a built-in radio, but its audio feature set is otherwise limited. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no stereo speaker configuration. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codec options are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC.

The Oukitel WP52 offers a well-rounded connectivity package, with 5G cellular support, dual SIM capability, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.2. It connects via USB Type-C with USB 2.0 and supports NFC, while download speeds reach up to 3300 Mbit/s. For location, the device includes GPS with Galileo support alongside a compass and accelerometer, though a gyroscope, barometer, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. The external memory slot allows for storage expansion, and HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, crash detection, satellite SOS, and a built-in projector are all unavailable.

The Oukitel WP52 includes a video light, which can be used to illuminate scenes during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
