The Philips NeoPix 160 uses a non-laser light source with a lamp life of 30,000 hours in eco mode, making longevity a notable aspect of its general build. The projector measures 210 mm wide, 170 mm thick, and 150 mm tall, with a total volume of 5,355 cm³ and a weight of 1,200 g, placing it in a relatively compact form factor for a home projector. It does not have a laser light source, but it does support a dedicated smartphone app, allowing users to control and interact with the device via a mobile device.
The Philips NeoPix 160 delivers a 1080p output resolution at 250 ANSI lumens with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and an 8-bit color depth, projecting images up to 100″ from a minimum throw distance of 1 m. Neither motorized nor manual focus is available, and the same applies to motorized zoom. On the HDR front, the projector does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or HLG, and 3D content with glasses is not supported either.
The Philips NeoPix 160 offers a focused set of connectivity options, including one HDMI port, one USB port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirPlay support for wireless streaming and device pairing. There is no Ethernet port, VGA connector, DVI connector, or S/PDIF output available on this model.
The Philips NeoPix 160 includes a built-in smart TV platform and comes with a remote control for navigation, while a single 5W built-in speaker handles audio output alongside a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired listening. The speaker configuration is mono rather than stereo, and Dolby Atmos is not supported. Neither vertical nor horizontal lens shift is available, and the projector lacks voice command support and an external memory slot.
