The speaker does not include stereo speakers, a subwoofer, or magnetic shielding. A single built-in microphone is present for hands-free call handling.
The TAS1209 is equipped with a built-in 1,500 mAh rechargeable battery that supports up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge, with a full charge taking approximately 2.5 hours. The TAS1209 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 30 meters, and includes a single USB Type-C port used for charging. It does not support NFC pairing, Wi-Fi, AirPlay, Chromecast, Auracast, or Bluetooth LE Audio, and none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, aptX Low Latency, AAC, or LDAC — are supported. There is no 3.5 mm audio jack socket, AUX input, 3.5 mm male connector, external memory slot, microphone input, Ethernet connection, or DLNA certification.
The TAS1209 can be used wirelessly and supports smartphone remote control, allowing playback management from a connected device. It also features voice prompts for audio feedback and includes a sleep timer for scheduled shutoff. The speaker does not offer fast pairing, voice commands, a radio, a mute function, or the ability to function as a power bank.
The TAS1209 supports stereo pairing, allowing two compatible units to be paired together for stereo sound playback.
