The Philips X7207 is a substantial unit, measuring 310 mm in height and 300 mm in both width and thickness, with a total volume of 27,900 cm³ and a weight of 7,500 g. Controls are placed directly on the device, and the speaker ships with a detachable cable, which adds a degree of convenience when it comes to storage or replacement. It does not include a travel bag, remote control, touch screen, RGB lighting, or a neodymium magnet, and it is not a neckband-style speaker.
The Philips X7207 delivers 80W of audio output power through a single driver configuration, covering a frequency range from 40 Hz up to 20,000 Hz, with an impedance rating of 8 Ohms. It does not include a subwoofer or a passive radiator, and there are no microphones built in, meaning noise-canceling microphone functionality is also absent.
The Philips X7207 runs on a built-in 2,600 mAh rechargeable battery that is rated for up to 12 hours of use per charge, with a full charge taking approximately 6.5 hours. A battery level indicator lets you keep track of remaining charge at a glance. The battery is not removable, and the speaker does not support wireless charging.
The Philips X7207 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5 with a maximum range of 30 metres, and supports multipoint pairing with up to two devices at once. AAC codec is supported for wireless audio, while aptX in its various forms — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, and aptX Lossless — as well as LDAC are not available. For wired connectivity, the speaker includes an AUX input and a microphone input, though it lacks a 3.5 mm headset jack, a 3.5 mm male connector, and a USB Type-C port. There is no NFC pairing, no external memory slot, and no support for Wi-Fi, Ethernet, AirPlay, Chromecast, Auracast, Bluetooth LE Audio, or DLNA certification.
The Philips X7207 can be used wirelessly and supports smartphone remote control, allowing playback to be managed from a connected device. It also includes voice prompts to guide the user through pairing and operation, along with a sleep timer for automatic shutoff. Fast pairing, voice commands, a mute function, built-in radio, and power bank functionality are not part of its feature set.
The Philips X7207 supports stereo pairing, allowing two compatible units to be paired together for a stereo sound configuration.
