The Poly Voyager Free 20 uses an in-ear fit and is a true wireless design with no cables or neckband, and wingtips are not included. Weighing just 9 grams, the earbuds feature stereo speakers while keeping the form factor minimal — there is no display, RGB lighting, or UV light. Protection-wise, they carry an IP56 ingress protection rating, though no additional water resistance beyond that rating is specified.
The Poly Voyager Free 20 uses 10 mm drivers and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction are supported, giving the earbuds two layers of noise management. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo, and neodymium magnets are not part of the specification.
The Poly Voyager Free 20 delivers 8 hours of battery life from the earbuds themselves, with that figure remaining consistent even when active noise cancellation is in use. The charging case adds a further 20 hours of backup power, and a full charge takes 1.5 hours. The earbuds feature a rechargeable battery with a battery level indicator, and wireless charging is supported. There is no solar power battery.
The Poly Voyager Free 20 connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 meters, and USB Type-C is available for wired charging. Fast pairing, NFC pairing, and AAC codec support are not included, and the earbuds do not support any aptX variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, or aptX Voice. LDAC, LDHC, Bluetooth LE Audio, and Auracast are likewise absent from the feature set.
The Poly Voyager Free 20 supports multipoint connectivity for up to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset, making it a practical option for calls alongside general listening. Ambient sound mode, a mute function, voice prompts, and a device-based control panel are all included, and fast charging is supported. A travel bag comes in the box. In-ear detection, a find-device feature, notification reading, an in-line control panel, a built-in translator, and a body temperature sensor are not part of the feature set.
The Poly Voyager Free 20 is equipped with six microphones, and noise-canceling microphone technology is included to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls.
