The QCY MeloBuds Pro follow a true wireless, cable-free design with an in-ear fit and stereo speaker configuration across both earbuds. Each earbud weighs just 8 grams, keeping the overall build light and unobtrusive. They carry an IPX5 ingress protection rating, meaning they hold up against sweat during workouts or daily activity. The earbuds do not include wingtips for additional ear stability, and there is no neckband connecting the two units. RGB lighting, a UV light, and a display are all absent from the design.
The MeloBuds Pro use a 12 mm driver and cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, with an impedance of 32 Ohms and a sound pressure level of 102 dB/mW. Both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction are supported, giving the earbuds two layers of noise management. Spatial audio is also available, while Dolby Atmos and Dirac Virtuo are not included. The drivers do not use a neodymium magnet.
Each earbud holds a 35 mAh rechargeable battery, delivering up to 8.5 hours of playback per charge, or 7.5 hours with active noise cancellation enabled. The charging case carries a 350 mAh capacity, extending total playback to 25.5 hours before needing a top-up. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and a battery level indicator lets users keep track of remaining power. Wireless charging and solar battery functionality are not supported.
The MeloBuds Pro connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.3 with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 80 ms. Supported codecs include LDAC and AAC, while aptX in all its variants — including aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — is not available. Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast are also absent. Fast pairing is supported for quick device setup, whereas NFC pairing is not. The charging case uses USB-C for wired charging.
The MeloBuds Pro include a practical set of everyday features, among them ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection for automatic playback pausing, and a find device function to help locate misplaced earbuds. They support multipoint connection for up to two devices simultaneously, fast charging, a mute function, and can be used as a headset for calls. Controls are handled via a panel on the earbuds themselves, and voice prompts provide audio feedback during use. There is no in-line control panel, no internal storage, no notification readout, no body temperature sensor, and no built-in camera remote. A travel bag is included in the box, and the earbuds come with a one-year warranty.
The MeloBuds Pro feature a 6-microphone array with built-in noise cancellation to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls. The microphones cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 25,000 Hz, allowing them to capture a broad range of vocal detail.
