The Realme 12X 5G (China) features a 7.9″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 px and a pixel density of 395 ppi, offering a reasonably sharp viewing experience. The display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother on-screen motion. It does not include branded damage-resistant glass, an Always-On Display mode, or support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen present.

The Realme 12X 5G (China) is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset, built on a 6 nm process and featuring an 8-thread CPU configuration with two cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six cores at 2.0 GHz, utilizing big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for efficient workload distribution. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 MC2 GPU running at 950 MHz, with support for DirectX 12. The device comes with 12 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz — also the maximum supported memory — alongside 512 GB of internal storage, and the SoC includes integrated LTE. The platform supports 64-bit processing and multithreading, rounding out a well-specified performance profile for this category.

The Realme 12X 5G (China) has a dual-lens rear camera system combining a 50 MP sensor at f/1.8 with a 2 MP sensor at f/2.4, both using a CMOS configuration without a back-illuminated sensor. Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and direct OS vendor updates are not supported, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Realme 12X 5G (China) is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 15W fast charging. A battery level indicator is included, making it easy to monitor charge status at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Realme 12X 5G (China) includes a 3.5 mm audio jack for wired headphone connectivity, though it does not feature stereo speakers. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.
