On the durability side, it carries an IP64 rating, meaning it offers meaningful resistance to dust and water splashes in everyday situations, though it does not feature a fully rugged construction.

The Realme 13 5G uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.72″ with a 1080 x 2400 px resolution and a pixel density of 392 ppi, resulting in a reasonably sharp image across the panel. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate paired with a 240Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input, while typical brightness is rated at 580 nits and the contrast ratio sits at 1500:1. The display does not include an Always-On mode, branded damage-resistant glass, or support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen on the device.

The Realme 13 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm octa-core chipset configured with 2 cores at 2.4 GHz and 6 cores at 2.0 GHz, using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support for efficient workload distribution across its 8 threads. Graphics are handled by the integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, which supports DirectX 12. The device comes with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz and 256 GB of internal storage, with the platform supporting up to 12 GB of RAM and a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. Cache is structured across 512 KB of L1, 1 MB of L2, and 2 MB of L3. Benchmark results place the AnTuTu score at 450,000, with Geekbench 6 returning 782 in single-core and 2012 in multi-core tests. The chip also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and includes multithreading capability.

The Realme 13 5G features a single rear camera with a 50 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, backed by optical image stabilization and phase-detection autofocus for photos, along with continuous autofocus during video recording. It does not have a BSI sensor, laser autofocus, or a multi-lens setup, and there is no dual-tone or RGB flash — just a single LED flash unit. Video recording reaches up to 1440p at 30 fps, with slow-motion and timelapse modes available, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. The Realme 13 5G ships with Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multiple user accounts and includes on-device machine learning alongside offline voice recognition and voice commands. Privacy coverage includes clipboard warnings, location controls, and camera and microphone access management, as well as the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the customization front, the OS offers dynamic and manual theme customization, dark mode, an extra dim mode, widgets, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and app offloading are not available. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text selection, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. A child lock, battery health check, and device tracking round out the feature set, though Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and direct OS vendor updates are not supported.

The Realme 13 5G is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable and includes a battery level indicator. It supports 45W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box, making it ready to use out of the package. Wireless charging, however, is not supported.

The Realme 13 5G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output. On the wireless audio side, it does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC, limiting higher-quality Bluetooth audio codec options. There is no built-in radio on the device.

Location is handled via GPS with Galileo support, and onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass, while a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ are all missing. Security relies on a fingerprint scanner, as 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Features such as crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, HDMI output, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a stylus are likewise not included.

The Realme 13 5G includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device does not feature a sapphire glass screen or an e-paper display.
