Realme 14x 5G (Global)

The Realme 14x 5G (Global) has a non-folding, non-rugged build measuring 165.7 mm tall, 76.2 mm wide, and 7.9 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 99.75 cm³ and a weight of 190 g. It carries an IP64 rating, meaning it offers solid protection against dust ingress and resistance to water splashes from any direction, making it reasonably suited for everyday outdoor use in light moisture conditions.

The display is a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1604 px and a pixel density of 264 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion. The panel does not feature branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, so color and contrast capabilities stay within standard range. There is no Always-On Display mode and no secondary screen, keeping the design straightforward.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm octa-core SoC with two performance cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz, supported by big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for balanced workload distribution across its 8 threads. It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 12 GB — alongside 256 GB of internal storage, a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s, and a cache hierarchy of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. Graphics are handled by the integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with DirectX 12 support, and benchmark results place the chip at an AnTuTu score of 422,130, a Geekbench 6 single-core score of 782, and a multi-core score of 2,012. The SoC also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and includes multithreading capabilities.

The main camera is a single-lens 50 MP CMOS sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a pixel size of 0.61 µm, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though it lacks laser autofocus and optical image stabilization. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, slow-motion video, and in-camera panoramas are also available; however, manual shutter speed, RAW capture, and 360° panorama shooting are not supported. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, and a single LED flash — not dual-tone or RGB — provides lighting assistance. There is no optical zoom. The 8 MP front camera is a single-lens unit without an under-display placement or a front-facing flash.

The device runs Android 15 as a free and open-source operating system, supporting multiple user accounts, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, and voice commands. Privacy tooling includes clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the usability side, the OS offers dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, customizable notifications with full notification permission controls, a media picker, split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, widgets, app offloading, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. A child lock, battery health check, and phone position tracking are also included, while focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported. OS updates are not delivered directly by the vendor.

The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 15W fast charging, allowing for reasonably quick top-ups over a wired connection. Wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present, keeping the user informed of remaining charge at a glance.

Audio connectivity includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack, offering straightforward wired headset compatibility. The device does not feature stereo speakers, and there is no support for any high-resolution or enhanced Bluetooth audio codec — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent. A built-in radio is also not present.

The device supports 5G connectivity alongside a dual SIM configuration, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.3, with a maximum download speed of 3300 Mbits/s. Wired connectivity is handled via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. NFC is present, and an external memory card slot provides additional storage flexibility. For positioning, the device includes GPS with Galileo support and a compass, while an accelerometer is also on board; however, a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, and heart rate monitor are all absent, and neither motion nor optical tracking is supported. Security is covered by a fingerprint scanner, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. ANT+ and DLNA certification are not supported, and there is no satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, stylus, or built-in projector.

The device includes a video light, which assists with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper screen technology is used.
