The Realme 15 5G has a non-folding, non-rugged build that measures 162.3 mm tall, 76.2 mm wide, and 7.66 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 94.73 cm³ and a weight of 187 g. Despite not featuring a rugged construction, it carries an IP69 ingress protection rating and is rated waterproof to a depth of 2 metres, offering a meaningful level of water resistance for everyday use.

The Realme 15 5G features a 6.8″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 2800 px and a pixel density of 453 ppi, backed by a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and a typical brightness of 1800 nits. It supports a 144 Hz refresh rate alongside a 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and includes an Always-On Display mode as well as branded damage-resistant glass. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen.

The Realme 15 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a 4 nm chipset built on an octa-core configuration running at 4 x 2.5 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE technology with HMP support, and housing 6,200 million transistors. It comes with 8GB of DDR5 RAM clocked at 6400 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 16GB — alongside 256GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G615 MC2 GPU running at 1047 MHz with support for DirectX 12 and a single display output. The SoC supports 64-bit processing, integrated LTE, and 8 CPU threads, while Geekbench 6 scores land at 2932 in multi-core and 1026 in single-core.

The Realme 15 5G has a dual-lens rear camera system pairing a 50 MP (f/2.2) sensor with an 8 MP (f/1.8) sensor, both backed by a BSI CMOS sensor design and optical image stabilisation, with a focal length range spanning 16 mm to 24 mm and no optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch AF for stills as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The rear system supports 4K video recording at 2160 x 30 fps, slow-motion capture, timelapse, HDR mode, burst mode, panorama, and a dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs; HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported, nor is RAW output or manual shutter speed, though manual exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance controls are all available. The front camera offers a single-lens 50 MP sensor without a front-facing flash, and the front camera is not positioned under the display.

The Realme 15 5G runs Android 15 as a free and open-source platform, offering a broad set of privacy controls including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking — though cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customisation, extra dim mode, customisable notifications, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they download. The device also includes on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, multi-user support, app offloading, battery health checks, and Live Text functionality; focus modes, Quick Start, and desktop PC mode are not supported, and OS updates do not come directly from the OS vendor.

The Realme 15 5G is equipped with a 7000 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable and supports 80W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, but the device does not support wireless charging or reverse wireless charging.

The Realme 15 5G includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and has no built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codec options are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Realme 15 5G supports 5G connectivity alongside a dual SIM configuration, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with backward compatibility for Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 4, and Bluetooth 5.4, with download and upload speeds reaching up to 3270 MBits/s. It uses a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0 and includes a fingerprint scanner, GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, though NFC, an infrared sensor, barometer, heart rate monitor, and external memory slot are all absent. Biometric options are limited to the fingerprint scanner, as 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not available, and there is no stylus included. Additional features such as HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+, satellite SOS, crash detection, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are likewise not present.

The Realme 15 5G includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
