The Realme 15 5G has a non-folding, non-rugged build measuring 162.3 mm tall, 76.2 mm wide, and 7.66 mm thick, with a weight of 187 g and a total volume of 94.73 cm³. Despite its slim profile, it carries a notable IP69 ingress protection rating, conferring full waterproof status at depths of up to 2 metres, which places it well above the basic water-resistance levels found in many devices of this type.

The Realme 15 5G features a 6.8″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 2800 px and a pixel density of 453 ppi, delivering sharp and vivid visuals supported by a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a typical brightness of 1800 nits. The panel runs at a 144Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and includes an Always-On Display mode as well as branded damage-resistant glass for added durability. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary screen present.

The Realme 15 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 system-on-chip, built on a 4 nm process with 6,200 million transistors and an octa-core CPU configuration running at 4 x 2.5 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz across 8 threads, using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support. The SoC integrates an LTE modem, a Mali G615 MC2 GPU clocked at 1047 MHz with DirectX 12 support driving a single display, and integrated graphics. The device carries 12GB of DDR5 RAM at 6400 MHz with a maximum supported memory of 16GB, alongside 256GB of internal storage, and is fully 64-bit compatible. Geekbench 6 results stand at 2932 for multi-core and 1026 for single-core performance.

The rear camera system on the Realme 15 5G uses a dual-lens setup with sensors at 50 MP and 8 MP, with apertures of f/1.8 and f/2.2 respectively, a focal length range of 16 mm to 24 mm, and optical image stabilisation for steadier shots. Both a BSI CMOS sensor and phase-detection autofocus are present, along with touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video recording, and a dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs; laser autofocus is not included. Video recording tops out at 2160p at 30 fps, with slow-motion and timelapse modes available, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Manual controls extend to exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode and in-camera panorama are also on board; manual shutter speed, RAW capture, and 360-degree panorama are absent. The front camera offers a single-lens 50 MP sensor without a front-facing flash or under-display placement, and 3D photo or video capture is not supported on either camera.

The Realme 15 5G runs Android 15 and ships with a broad set of privacy controls, including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking; cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. On the customisation side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customisation, widgets, and customisable notifications, though focus modes and Quick Start are absent. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. On-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, and voice commands are all present, as are phone tracking, multi-user support, a child lock, battery health check, an extra dim display mode, and app offloading. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided, and the device cannot be used as a PC.

The Realme 15 5G is equipped with a 7000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 80W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported, and the battery is non-removable.

The Realme 15 5G includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and has no built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codec options are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Realme 15 5G supports 5G connectivity with a cellular module, dual SIM slots, and Wi-Fi across three standards — Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) — alongside Bluetooth 5.4 and symmetrical download and upload speeds of 3270 Mbit/s. The device connects via USB Type-C with USB 2.0, but lacks NFC, an external memory slot, HDMI output, and DLNA certification. For location and motion sensing, it includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, while a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ are all absent. Security is handled through a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present, and no stylus is included. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are also not featured.

The Realme 15 5G includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel are used.
