Despite the absence of a rugged build, it carries an IP69 ingress protection rating, meaning it is rated water resistant up to a depth of 1 m, offering a meaningful level of protection against water exposure for everyday use.

The Realme 15x 5G features a 6.81-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1570 px and a pixel density of 395 ppi. One of its more notable display traits is the 144Hz refresh rate, complemented by a 180Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input handling. The screen does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode, branded damage-resistant glass, or secondary screen.

The Realme 15x 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 system-on-chip, fabricated on a 6 nm process and configured with 8 threads running at 2 x 2.4 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support. It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz and 128 GB of internal storage, with the SoC supporting a maximum of 12 GB of memory and a peak memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. The integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocks at 950 MHz and supports DirectX 12, while the chip includes integrated LTE and is fully 64-bit capable with multithreading support. Cache is organized across 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3 layers. In benchmark testing, the device scores 429351 on AnTuTu, 782 on Geekbench 6 single-core, and 2012 on Geekbench 6 multi-core.

The Realme 15x 5G is equipped with a single-lens 50 MP rear camera featuring an f/1.8 aperture, a CMOS sensor with a pixel size of 0.6 µm, and a dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs. It supports phase-detection autofocus for photos, touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video recording, and manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. The camera can shoot in RAW format and handles HDR, burst mode, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse, while video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps with no optical zoom, and HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording are not supported. There is no optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, BSI sensor, or 3D capture capability. On the front, a 50 MP selfie camera sits behind an f/2.4 aperture lens; it is a single-lens setup without an under-display placement or a front-facing flash, and does not support 360-degree panoramas.

The Realme 15x 5G runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of software capabilities covering both usability and privacy. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are absent. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and customizable notifications. Additional features include on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, app offloading, an extra dim mode, a battery health check, a child lock, multi-user support, and device tracking. The device can play games while they are still downloading, but does not support Quick Start, Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, or PC mode, and does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Realme 15x 5G houses a 7000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a built-in level indicator and support for 60W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not available on this device.

The Realme 15x 5G has a notably limited audio feature set: it lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, and a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Realme 15x 5G supports 5G connectivity alongside a cellular module, dual SIM card slots, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.3. NFC, HDMI output, infrared sensor, barometer, gyroscope, ANT+, heart rate monitor, DLNA certification, 3D facial recognition, iris scanner, crash detection, satellite SOS, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent from this device.

The Realme 15x 5G includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
